Book Review: Quiet Book Patterns (and 3 to give away!!)…CLOSED

If you noticed my site was down yesterday, while trying to access my newest post (side note: all those deals are still on sale throughout today!!)……sorry about that.  There were a few problems with the server.  Darn technology!  I’m just grateful it’s back up though.  I never know how much I should freak out in those situations…..just glad it didn’t last too long.  Whew!

. . . . .

I have something so fun to share today.  And it was created from that sweet gal Amy, over at Serving Pink Lemonade.  She has published her very own book……..and it’s DARLING!  I know a lot of time and work (and then re-working) went into this book of yours, so consider yourself high-fived/hugged/loved on!  Great work Amy……so SO proud of you!

Amy compiled a collection of 25 Quiet Book Patterns, that you can easily construct yourself.  (Or give as a gift to a mom with young kiddos, accompanied with a few supplies. So fun!

IMG_9205

**Just tuck your little book in your diaper bag, purse, carry-on luggage……and then pull out at the Dr’s office, the plane, at church, while shopping, etc.  These little quiet books are interactive and fun for busy little minds!

The pages of this book are clean and bright, the instructions are so clear, and her extra tips are perfectly placed throughout the book.

And the ideas in the book are so appropriate for curious little fingers……..and are perfectly engaging.

And yeah, maybe you could throw a little Quiet Book together yourself…..but we all know it’s easier when it’s all done for you with pictures, measurements, templates, extra tips, etc.

Each of her projects even includes a little blurb about what concept of learning is being taught.

IMG_9168

Plus, a few tips to encourage further learning and exploration.

IMG_9169

What’s EXTRA GREAT……is that you can either use the templates in the back of the book or you can open up the full sized images from the included CD and print them off that way.

I’m currently making a book for Little Miss Chloe…..but decided to make each of my background pages with Faux Leather (vinyl) that I have in a variety of colors.  I have a ton of this stuff and am just trying to use it up…….and it worked great (you know, in case you have an excessive of the same stuff, too).  All of the other pieces I made with felt, as directed in the book.

With this page, Chloe can match up the socks….

IMG_9207

…..or put them in the laundry basket.  Super cute!

She caught on quickly.

And, well………she got a kick out of it!  And did it again, and again, AND again!

Such a great book Amy!  I could hardly fight off my older kids from taking a turn, while trying to show it to Chloe.  Such great and captivating concepts throughout.  Very well done!! :)

And thanks so much for sharing……can’t wait to complete Chloe’s book!

Amy’s book is available through Amazon in paperback and Kindle format.  So Cool!

. . . . .

Oh wait, there’s more!  Amy has offered to give away 3 copies of her book to 3 different readers.  Yay!!
