Holy stinkin’ smokes.
I have a really cool giveaway to share today. And it’s going to blow your socks off. (You shouldn’t have socks on anyway. It’s warm out. ;) ) Especially if you have always wanted a new camera. What better time to start taking great pictures than summer time. Lots of beautiful light.
Up for grabs is TWO (yes, you read that right), 2 Canon Rebel Cameras!! One for you and, well, one for your friend! If you win, you’ll receive this fabulous camera plus one more to give to your friend. You and a friend can learn together and start sharing pictures between the two of you. And then start sharing tips and cool photo tricks. So you may want to increase your odds by spreading the word and getting all those “friends” to sign up.
And, just because two winners just didn’t seem like enough, there’s also a $100 cash gift card for the lucky runner up.

It’s also the first DSLR camera I owned and was the only one I used on my blog until about 8 months ago. (And I still use it as my back-up. In fact, I was using it all of last month after I dropped my bigger camera on concrete and had to be sent away for repair. Ouch, I know. A little clumsy.) The Canon Rebel does so much. And takes some beautiful pictures.

That is a really great giveaway! I hate it though, when we have to like every page in order to enter a giveaway. I haven’t heard of half of them, and it feels dishonest to “like” something just in the hopes of winning a prize. I’d love to win something like that. And I like several of those pages, but not all of them. So I guess that will keep me out of the running.

If you change your mind Emily, you aren’t required to “like” any of them. You just need to submit the form with your info on it (so that we can contact you if you win). And I get you on the facebook thing…….I don’t have a personal facebook account either and sometimes I miss out on things because of that. But I do like it as a way to share my blog because some people always check facebook first and appreciate the update there. So I see both sides and am happy to accommodate……but I understand your side too. Anyway, hope that clears things up. :)

I would give so much to win this grand prize. My mother has wanted a Canon Rebel XTi for so long but I am unable to afford one at this time. Mom is my best friend and has stood by my side so many times. She was there when my son died in 2005 and last summer when I almost passed from gastric bypass. This would be such a small token to show her how much I love her. As for the second camera, I would love to give it to my 14 year old son. Walker has Asperger’s and for the first time in his life stepped out of his comfort zone and applied to be on the yearbook staff at high school. HE MADE IT. I would love to be able to provide him with a camera to help him become the best he could be.

I entered, but I cannot “Like” anybody on Facebook because I choose to not have one of their pages. It saddens me tremendously when people offer a nice prize then take away the chance to win by forcing participants to “Like” them on FB. That’s coercion, and it really, really sucks. Not everyone likes that place or the way they sell your privacy. They have abused their “promises” so often that they now pay the federal government $20,000 a day in fines, according to Infoworld. I hope bloggers and crafters will stop this madness. Even their recent IPO was a big scam that cost people millions of investment dollars. They are now sueing the manipulators.
You aren’t forced into “liking” anyone to enter this giveaway. If you see a new site who you’d like to start following, you can “like” it if you choose to. This is an amazing giveaway! My wife, Thea and I just got back from our honeymoon and our camera and all our photos were stolen out of our suitcase. It was a terrible tragedy. This would be a fantastic gift for her.

What an awesome give away I would probably end up giving both away to my Daughters so they could take endless photos of my new grand babies.
Your site is just so much fun to visit! It gives me so many ideas… that I’ll usually twist to the next step to make it my own. Like the glass etching… I actually didn’t care for the inconsistency of the etching cream… So I went and bought a nozzle sprayer and a small drum of sand ( which was a lot cheaper then using the aerosol cans of sand Michaels sells ) and used my air compressor and blasted away. When I compared the final product to the ones where I used the cream and aerosol cans… The compressor glass looked far superior!!! I hope you try it.
This is just an amazing giveaway! I had an expensive digital camera to take pictures of my little boy… But one day I had friends come over… Who brought along their own friends I didn’t know…. Long story short… They broke my camera cuz one guy didn’t want pictures getting out to his girlfriend of him kissing a girl. They didn’t know how to delete them… Decided not to ask me how… So they smashed it. Like cavemen! The end of the night I found my camera, in pieces, wrapped in a pool towel, in the big garage garbage can.
To win would be so wonderful!! I took a photography class years ago… But it does no good when I can only take photos with a camera phone. Hehe

Oh my!!! I have been wanting a new camera for years!! My phone just isn’t doing it for me! My son just turned 5 and I was so bummed out looking through all the photos that I took the next day-they were out of focus or I just barely missed the smile he had on his face b/c the camera took too long to snap my photo. :{ The canon rebel is the one I have had my eye on!
