!!!! GIVEAWAY CLOSED!!!!
I’m really excited about a few things
Remember how a week or so ago I mentioned having a few New Year’s resolutions I was excited to get started on? Well, for some reason I have a huge long list that I’m working on. And so far, so good. Except for getting everywhere on time. That one still needs some work. Ha. But the one I’m most excited about is treating this body of mine a little better. Okay, a lot better. ;) I get so busy, busy, busy with so many things that I forget that forcing myself to stay up late to fit in some “me” time isn’t doing me any good. Either is snacking on whatever my little heart wants to munch on. Okay, or choosing to edit pictures over doing a quick exercise video while the kiddos are napping. My body is getting tired of that too. I have come to realize that there is always an excuse to choose not to take care of my body, but there are more reasons to choose to take care of it. Am I making sense? :)
.
Anyway, I don’t generally like to talk about weight and dieting and blah, blah, blah, but it’s mostly because I need to. But really, who doesn’t? And what better time to make some lifestyle changes than at the beginning of a new year?
.
So when I was offered the opportunity to be a part of a Campaign with BlogHer for Best Buy’s
“New Year, New You” program, I jumped all over it. Luckily, they welcomed me on board and so every week (for about 7 weeks) I will be tracking my nutrition and fitness progress as well as reviewing some really cool Best Buy fitness products. How perfect is that? All I needed was a little push. (Because I kept putting it off, putting it off.) And now I’m ready to get this body back on track. And feeling better. And yes, happier.
.
I’ll get more into my fitness and nutrition routine in a few days (that’s going well, yay!!!), but first, I have to share with you something that jump started everything. The Zeo Sleep Manager.
.
Oh. My. Word.
.
The Zeo is the coolest little gadget.
.
Best Buy sent me the Zeo Sleep Manager to test out. It’s this little headband bluetooth accessory that you wear around your forehead (kinda like a sweat band), with sensors on the back that read your sleep patterns. It “talks” to your mobile smart phone and transfers data all night long while you sleep. It tracks your sleep, records how many times you wake up at night, measures your REM and deep sleep stages, analyzes your data, tells you your overall sleep score (ZQ), etc.
Okay, really?!!
To be honest, I was a little leery. But since I knew sleeping and overall health are directly related, I wanted to give it a try. So, I popped this little thing out of its box (setup was really basic and quick) and charged it up.
Later that night, I was still a little weirded out by wearing a headband all night. My husband teased me and kept calling me “Daniel-san”. (Karate Kid, anyone?) The headband was surprisingly lightweight though and really soft. I thought the sensors on the back would bug my forehead, but after having it on a minute or two, I couldn’t even feel them. And there are soft little tubes that slide around the headband that are really nice to put right above your ears. Nope, no rubbing there.
Tip: My headband stays on way better during the night if I put the back of the strap under my hair. It doesn’t move at all. But if it’s over my hair it slips around more.
So once I was past the weird idea of having a headband on all night, I was all ready to test this little gadget out. (But yes, still leery.) I downloaded the free Zeo App to my iPhone (it took 2 seconds and is available for Droids, too) and then synced the two together. I didn’t have to fuss with it much because the App is very simple and self explanatory. Once I took the headband off its charger, my phone recognized it and told me to place it on my forehead, and then to click on “start tracking”. So I obeyed. Ha. :) Seriously easy though.
A little light on a mini bar graph began to slightly flash, telling me that I was still awake. Ok, so far so good. (looked like the image below)
So after a while, I nodded off to sleep, forgetting about the headband. But here’s where I began to believe. I woke up during the night because the baby woke up, and I actually grabbed my phone first, looked at the graph, and yep, there were all sorts of different colored graph bars, showing different levels of sleep I had received so far. And then the little “wake” light started flashing, telling me I was awake again. Crazy. It was actually working. I just kept my headband on, fed the baby, then decided I would look further into it in the morning.
By the next morning, I had a whole night’s worth of sleep stages and data. So cool.
I have slept with it every night since, and now have record of each night’s data and patterns. (It’s not showing them all here in the pic. And it’s also showing an incomplete graph of where I goofed up and put it on too early and then took it off. And another night where it fell off half way through the night and cut off data because I hadn’t learned that it stays exactly in place if I place it under my hair in the back. Okay, still learning, ha.)
And just for fun, let me pick apart a graph that I remember, just to show you what went on.
First of all, it took me 25 minutes (each skinny bar equals 5 minutes) to fall asleep around midnight. (Red equals awake.) I do remember my husband and I were chatting, and I was even holding really still so the Zeo could have thought I went to sleep, but nope. It knew. Then I fell asleep and everything was going fine until I had to use the bathroom right before 3 am. I totally remember getting up and wondering if it would pick it up right away. It did. After 10 minutes, I fell back to sleep but then the baby woke up around 6 am to eat. After I put her back to bed, I was kind of in and out of sleep again until the bigger kids woke up and jumped in bed with me. They were reading books right on my bed with me while I tried to steal a few more minutes of sleep. It totally recognized that and recorded it. So trippy.
So even though I doubted, the Zeo totally won. And produced some pretty cool info for me to look at.
I could see what was interrupting my sleep, how much REM I was getting, how long it took me to get there, how much deep and light sleep I was getting, and then the Zeo produced a sleep score (ZQ) for me. This is an objective number that is compiled based on the quality of sleep. The graph from above shows a score of 75 which is better than the score of 59 (and lower) from the nights before. I love that I can look at my score and then make adjustments to improve it.
Another really cool feature of the Zeo, is the SmartWake. For example, if I want to get up around 7:20 am, I can set my SmartWake for 7:20 am but if the device detects that it would be best to wake up at 7:05 because of the sleep cycle I’m in……the alarm will gradually sound and will wake me up a bit earlier. I can set parameters that are within 20, 30, or 40 minutes of the actual time I want to get up, so it’s not going to wake me up at 2 am just because of a light sleep cycle. So if I set the SmartWake parameters within 20 minutes of my wake up time…the Zeo will decide what is the best time to wake up between 7 and 7:20. Even though getting an extra 15 or so minutes of sleep sounds optimal, that’s not the case. Depending on how deep I’m sleeping, it may be better for me to get up at 7:05, rather than an abrupt alarm 15 minutes later while in a deeper sleep. (Oh, and the alarm will never go past the actual alarm time you set.)
While using my Zeo, I have become more aware of needing to go to bed much earlier and have found that I get better quality sleep when I go to bed earlier and get up earlier rather than going to bed late and getting up later. That quote by Benjamin Franklin that says, “Early to bed, early to rise, makes a man healthy, wealthy, and wise” is really true for me. Dang. ;) But I have seen a big difference just in the last two days by getting up a few minutes earlier, just like the SmartWake told me to do.
(And I totally want to try it on my husband and see how deep of a sleep he really goes into when he falls asleep at his desk while studying. ;) )
There are many other features available to Zeo owners, including emails with healthy sleeping tips, personalized guidance, an online coaching program, and many other tools. The Zeo team really has thought out so many different good/bad contributors to our sleep quality. I’ve only looked at a few but can already see a difference by using just the basics of the Zeo.
And better quality sleep for me, means a healthier and happier body. And yep, that is my goal for this year. So Zeo, I owe you a big thanks for getting me started down a healthier road for 2012.

For me, it’s just getting my brain to quiet down enough to fall asleep!
My biggest challenge is going to bed early. My hubby is a night owl and I want to stay up and chat, when I KNOW I should be dragging my booty to bed!
Wow, I need this. I haven’t slept through the night since my baby was born 11 months ago… even though he sleeps just fine! I don’t know the reason, but I need help!
OOOH, I could use this for my new years resolution too!!
My biggest obstacle is actually falling asleep! Hubby falls asleep within seconds and I lay there wide awake for hours after. So frustrating!
Wow. That’s an amazing little device. I want one. I didn’t know such a thing existed outside sleep labs. My biggest obstacles to sleep are my husband’s snoring and my inability to shop thinking through new sewing patterns and projects. I’d be very curious to see if the amount of sleep I get is what I think it is. It’d also be fun to have my husband try it since he always claims he’s not even sleeping while he’s snoring madly. I might finally get proof!
i’ve always been a poor sleeper – my brain races about all sorts of things, and then i toss and turn all night. i would love to know optimal wake up times (and indirectly bedtimes) – this would be great!
This is really cool. If I wake up after sleeping for 4 hours or more, it takes me nearly 2 hours to go back to sleep. I wonder if it can help me figure out why and how to shorten that time. Totally worth a try!

My biggest obstacle to sleep is my husband’s snoring. I’d love to have him try it to see what his quality of sleep is like since I suspect he’s having trouble with apnea.
My biggest obstacle to getting a good night’s sleep is putting down the book I’m reading or turning off the TV
I’ve always been a night owl, so I have to remind myself I’m not as young as I used to be and to go to bed earlier!
My biggest obstacle to getting to sleep is sore muscles from all the working out I’m doing!
That is awesome! I have a hard time quieting my mind, so it takes me awhile to get to sleep. And them my cats sometimes jump on my just when I’ve fallen asleep! (But trust me, that is actually less annoying that the door banging and meowing if they get shut out the the bedroom!)
The biggest obstacle to good sleep for me is my husband! He is disabled and in pain so sleep is not his friend. He often will watch TV all night (with headphones on). But the light from the TV just doesn’t allow good sleep. I guess I should sleep in another room…Oh well!
This is so cool! I need to get one of these for my husband. I sleep really well, with occasional potty breaks during the night, but my husband is an insomniac. I’m not even sure if he’s gotten a decent night’s sleep in the past several months.
My biggest obstacle for getting a good night’s sleep is probably either the temperature of the room (I don’t sleep well if I’m too warm) or the critters piling on the bed… I logically know that I am more important than my cats, but when they are snuggled next to me (pinning me in) I still hate to move them. So I don’t get as good of sleep.
My biggest obstacle is if I get woken up by my husband when he comes home from work. He gets in late and can go to sleep instantly. If I’m woken, then my brain starts spinning and he starts snoring and I just can’t get back to sleep! Thanks for the giveaway! This would be very interesting to try out.
I am amazed. Im going to try winning! but i will be getting one for my hubby for his/MY birthday… lol…. he works shifts (currently grave) and after 8 hours- he feels like he hasnt slept at all!!! we thought he had sleep apnea but apparently not… grrr ……..:-/……………. pick meeee!!!
My biggest obstacle to sleep – myself! I have horrible sleep patterns and at one time diagnosed with sleep apnea. I would love to be able to track my patterns! Thanks for the opportunity to win.
ci provo anche io….
I want one of these! I saw them on a talk show last year and have wanted one ever since. I think all mom’s need one. I wonder if I could get my 2 year old daughter to wear it a few nights???
My biggest obstacle is surfing the internet or reading a book and staying up WAY too late… Grr.
My problem is that after my kid wakes me up in the middle of the night, I have the hardest time getting back to sleep because I start thinking about random and ridiculous things. Sometimes I miss out on a couple hours!
I never have any trouble getting to sleep or staying asleep – unless one of my munchkins wakes me up :). However, my husband needs this. I have never known him to get a solid night’s sleep in the 11 years we have been married. What a clever little invention!
I would love to try this out! I struggle with anxiety based insomnia periodically. If I’m stressed about making it somewhere on time I often won’t sleep the entire night even if I’m tired! I also often don’t feel rested enough even after 8 hours of sleep so I’m wondering if there is an optimum time for me to wake up that I’m not hitting or if I need to go to bed earlier to find that time. My morning schedule varies from waking up at 5:30-ish to waking up at 6:30-7-ish so I think that the variety might confuse my body a little. Thanks for the contest opportunity! Love your blog! :)
The smart wake feature sounds really cool!
My biggest hurdle is saying no to all the things I want to do now that the kids are asleep.
I have a husband that snores (loud!) and a 9mo old who wakes several times a night lately. Looks like an awesome tool. i’d love to give it a try! Thanks for the chance.
I just can’t seem to relax once I finally get in bed. I could be exhausted but the second my head hits the pillow I’m wide awake.
Wow, now that is a cool device! I’d never heard of this but it sounds so useful!
I have a 3-way tie for my biggest sleep obstacles. My kids-specifically my 22 month old, my husband who just moves constantly sometimes during his sleep and myself!
Wow – this is the coolest thing! I would LOVE to find out what kind of sleep I’m getting and make adjustments accordingly! Thanks for this, love your blog!
At first I read this as the “Zero Sleep Manager” and I was wondering how in the world getting no (zero) sleep would be part of your “treat yourself better” plan.
Now that I’m pregnant, I sleep pretty well (constant fatigue!). Before that if I woke up anywhere between 2am and 7am (7am is my wake up time) there was no way I’d get back to sleep. So I would lose several hours tossing and turning in the middle of the night if I ever had to pee, tend to a crying child, or if there was a loud noise outside.
I’d be kind of curious to see if pregnancy sleep is less restful than non-pregnancy sleep. Because I constantly feel like I’m dragging these days despite getting plenty of sleep at night.
I think it’s more of a question of ‘who’ than ‘what’. That oh so cute, but should be sleeping through the night instead of getting up a minimum of 3x a night, 14 month old daughter of mine.
MY SNORING BOYFRIEND!!!!!!! UGHHHHHHH
Oops- the 3 way tie comment was mine! I will blame it on my sleep-deprived brain!
I feel like am am going to miss something at night. I really struggle shutting off my brain sometimes as well.
This is so interesting! I’ve always wanted to know how well I sleep at night, especially the nights when 10 hours doesn’t seem enough. My biggest obstacle might be my bed hogging dog who likes to take up the whole bed.
Wow, this sounds so amazing! Thanks for the review. My biggest obstacle to a good nights sleep would be the temptation to stay up late and get things done.
Right now my biggest obstacle is a combination of being very pregnant and some kids that occasionally need my attention at night! And the fact that this baby doesn’t have a name yet and will be here soon! But it would be so neat to track this over time! Very cool product!
Going to bed early enough to get a full night’s sleep is my biggest issue. Nighttime is my only kid-free time so I stretch it out and then I’m tired all day long. It’s a vicious cycle! ;)
SO COOL. One word obstacle: Children. Got to love them though :)
My struggle is getting to bed at a decent hour and then wanting to stay in bed for another hour or two in the morning.
My biggest obstacle is that my muscles like to fall asleep causing my arms and legs to ache, so I’m constantly waking up to roll over and get comfortable.
Turning my brain off from all the things it’s thinking about it usually my biggest obstacle. And currently pregnancy related sleep interruptions; thankfully those don’t last forever.
wow that is cool! My biggest obstacle is currently my daughter teethign. but normally it is my mind not turning off
It would have to be a fear I developed as a child, now as an adult I have NO clue how to fall asleep. To just be able to let go of control and sleep.
Whoa, super cool! My 9 month old baby who is still nursing full-time and still waking up 2-3 times a night would be my major obstacle in getting enough sleep!!!
wow–maybe this is just what we need! my husband has night mares! and there does not seem to be any pattern or trigger to them. I really think having an idea when he is getting his rem sleep or not might aid in know how to deal with these often terrifying events. And for me too, as i am the one who must try to calm him down —-it is a hard thing to live with.!
My biggest challenge is quieting down my brain. Looks like a great tool!
I just have a hard time falling asleep and staying asleep. I toss and turn all night. I am so tired when I go and lay down but as soon as my head hits the pillow I am wide awake!
I would love to try the Zeo!! Last year I unraveled a lot of my health issues — and ended up with a fibromyalgia diagnosis. I know that poor quality sleep contributes to it. My biggest obstacle: I’m a light sleeper married to a snorer! Bad combo! I am very curious if I ever reach the deepest (rejuvenating) level of sleep!
My obstacle to a good night sleep is that I love to work or craft or read at night when the kids are in bed & I enjoy the free time so much that I don’t want to sleep! I know it’s not good for my body but I struggle to change this habit!
This sounds so cool!
I have a 2 year old and 4 month old so am way behind on sleep but my biggest obstacle is probably actually that I don’t go to bed early enough as I’m trying to get some good time in with my husband!
My biggest obstacles are my husband’s snoring and my lack of discipline to just go to bed when I get tired! I would love to know my quality of sleep and my hubby’s too.
Oooh. I would love to see how I sleep. That looks like a cool little gadget!
I love this review! My biggest problem is that I’m a night owl but my husband has to go to bed early. I stay awake thinking too much! It would be really interesting to see what our sleep cycles look like!
I’m a light sleeper and any noises wake me up pretty easily. The neighbors have a dog that barks regularly through the night and that is a constant battle.
I would love to have one of these to try out. I have fibromyalgia, sleep apnea, and a 2 yr old who doesnt sleep through the night. I would love to see exactly how much of each stage of sleep Im getting. I don’t think I ever get a restful night’s worth of sleep. Let it be me!!

My biggest obstacle to a good night’s sleep is getting myself to shut down so I can fall asleep! I tend to lie in bed and watch tv (bad) or just thinking about stuff. This sounds like a really cool tool!
My biggest challenge is getting to sleep, seems like it takes and hours and sometimes it does!
My biggest obstacle is making my night owl self go to bed earlier. I get up around 4:45 to go to the gym so I know if I’m not in bed by 9-10 that my day will be lousy.
This would be really neat to have, I seem to never get enough sleep and feel groggy in the morning. I have the hardest time falling asleep.
That is pretty cool. I would love to see how my sleep patterns are. I’m a light sleeper with kids around, so it would be interesting to graph it out.
I have had problems sleeping for 10 years now. I can’t fall asleep and when I do, I never seem to get into a deep sleep. If there is even a tiny bit of light, it wakes me up or prevents me from falling asleep. The same goes for any type of noise. It drives me nuts! I would LOVE to have this cool gadget to finally diagnose my sleeping patterns and get to the bottom of it. Thanks for offering the product!
Funny you should mention…I discovered your blog last night and stayed up until 1 am having fun looking at your crafty ‘inventions’. And wouldn’t you know it. A thunderstorm at 5am woke up my 4 year old. Yep, working on 4 hours of sleep today. (sigh)
This is so cool! I work in a Sleep Center – it would be interesting to see my own sleep patterns.
My biggest challenge is turning my brain off so I can go to sleep. Although, once I get to sleep I’m good until 5 when I wake up for no reason. Baby is coming soon so we will see how I’m sleeping then.
I would love this! I have sleep apnea and am ALWAYS tired. It would be amazing for me to have my own personal device like this so I could conduct sleep studies each night! It would be a huge benefit for me.
It’s hard turning off the endless to-do list running through my mind. That, and the new projects, decorations or designs I think of for my house.
I have a really hard time getting to sleep for thinking about all the things I have to do the next day.
Oh my biggest challenge is 14 months old and currently laying on the floor. She’s been my obstacle since I was about 2 months along with her. I think I’m in a bad pattern now because of all of that. She’s still my punkin though!
Three kids who will not sleep and wanting to have a few minutes of quiet reading to myself which often results falling asleep in the living room chair until one of the kids wakes up.
I have two horrible, HORRIBLE sleepers – a two-year-old and a four-month-old. I don’t feel like I’ve slept in YEARS!!! (Oh, that this gadget would put kids to sleep, haha.)
I sleep pretty lightly, it didn’t used to be that way, but now with 2 kids, 4 dogs, and a VERY loud snoring husband… it seems as though every little sound wakes me up.
Holy cow! I didn’t know they made such things! What a cool high tech gadget. My hubby would love this.. he is such a geeky guy with all kinds of techy stuff. Hmmm! For a guy who is hard to buy for, this will make a perfect Valentine’s day gift! Hopefully I can win it but if not Best Buy here I come! Thanks for sharing!
I have trouble getting to sleep so usually I listen to my iPod (in one ear) until I start to doze. Then I often wake between 3 and 4 a.m. and have difficulty getting back to sleep again.
Right now pregnancy is keeping me from getting good sleep. But honestly, if I won, I would give this to my husband. He needs to get some good sleep. Not sure what keeps him up, but he is always tired. I love the idea of the smart wake feature (or whatever it’s called).
I am ALWAYS tired no matter how little or how much sleep I get each night. I am also a very light sleeper.
My biggest problem is getting my brain to turn off. I just can’t stop thinking.
My Biggest obstacle when trying to sleep are my kids. At least one of them wake up sometime during the night!
I could blame my lack of sleep on the baby, but that’s not really true lately. He wakes me up early, but I have no idea why I haven’t beenn sleeping the rest of the night. Nightmares maybe? Thanks for the giveaway, it was great to hear about this product!
I think my biggest obstacle to getting a good night sleep is that, like you, I tend to stay up a little later to have more time with my husband or reading before bed. I’d love to try this out!!!
I would love to win this. I am such a light sleeper! I swear I only get a few hours a night..
I never enter or win these things, but I’ll leave a comment, I have really horrible sleep patterns I’m sure, so this would be nice to learn how I could fix that!
My husband works midnight shifts sometimes. I don’t sleep well when he is gone, but having someone else tossing and turning, waking up, turning the heat up or down, or snoring also keeps me awake when he is on day shift. I would love to compare when and where I sleep best, so I could control my environment better. Not sleeping enough is making me fat, wrinkled, and depressed the studies say. Really?
My biggest obstacle to sleep is forgetting how good sleep feels until my alarm goes off in the morning. Then I remember how great sleep feels and I curse myself for not going to bed earlier.
I have trouble falling back to sleep once I wake up. One of my goals is to get more sleep this year.
I tweeted! https://mobile.twitter.com/Monzarts/status/157151504460029953
My biggest challenge are my boys! two of the four still wake up at night!
As a mom what doesn’t interrupt your sleep? I have 2 early risers (6ish) and 1 night owl (we fight her on going to bed from 7:30 til 10 or later) and no nappers, plus one on the way that will throw a new wrench into the system.
This would be amazing to win! I have the hardest time falling asleep and sleep terribly most nights. Crossing my fingers for this one!
What a great review…I need this! I can’t get my mind to stop thinking. When I finally do fall asleep I will wake up around 1 am and it is like a switch goes off & I’m wide awake for a few hours. I fall into what seems like a deep sleep for an hour or so then the alarm & I’m so tired I just can’t get up. It is a terrible cycle.
This sounds so cool! So I’m a mom of three. didn’t used to be a light sleeper but now I am thanks to them. I’ve always got my mom ears on alert, even at night in my sleep. Also I snore at night so my husband has to wear earplugs (poor guy). So that leaves me to listen for all of the bumps in the night and to investigate any strange noises.
Oh my goodness, this seems so cool! I would actually use it with my daughter, because I really doubt how much ood sleep she’s getting. We’ve discussed it with her doctor, but he said the only option was a sleep study and I’d rather not go there if we don’t have to.
So, what keeps me awake? Internet inspiration. Seeing so many things I want to make and want to do and not enough hours in the day to do them all!
With three kids and a full time job outside of the home, I feel I am ALWAYS running on empty. Anything that could help me sleep better would be appreciated!
That is so cool! Early last year I started paying attention more to the necessity of sleep and it has paid off! I am NOT a good mommy when I’ve stayed up until 1am…or 2am…or later! Now I actually get tired when I’m supposed to because I finally got my body trained to sleep when it’s supposed to!
I would love to win this I know that I have put on pounds because I sleep so poorly but I am not sure how to change things to make it better. With a 2 year old running all day I am exhausted. Please let me win……
I really want to try it! My biggest obstacle is exactly what you said about yourself–squeezing in more “me” time at night.
Insomnia is my biggest issue… that coupled with the 2, 3, 4 and 5 year olds of ours who seem to thing sleep is over-rated! :)
I NEED one of these! My hubby and I both have sleep issues and I would live to know what my body is doing while I sleep do that I can get better sleep and have more energy to exercise and lose weight!
I would love one of these for my husband. He always complains that he doesn’t think he sleeps very well. Although, he always seems to sleep just fine throught the baby or other kids getting up in the night. ha ha. It would be cool to track his sleep and see if he really isn’t getting a good nights sleep.
my 6 month old nursling is my biggest sleep issue. Along with a 2 year old who wakes up at random.
My mind keeps wandering while I try to sleep. It takes time to calm my mind and not think of anything so that I can fall asleep.
would love to try this!
This is great! My husband hasn’t slept well for about a year now. This would be fun to experiment with and see what helps him sleep better.
I think this would be fascinating!
I read about these recently and was debating buying one for Christmas, alas there was no room in the budget (due to new baby and one income). I’d rather spoil the kids than spoil myself. Unfortunately insomnia runs in the family. I struggle to fall asleep and stay asleep, and I don’t like Ambien!
This looks amazing! I would love to have my husband try it. He says he gets terrible sleep.
Ohhh I want one! I don’t sleep well because I am constantly “listening” for one of my kids to wake up.
That is really cool. I’m my own biggest obstacle to getting enough sleep, but I have been working on it. The other night I was exhausted at 9 pm, fell asleep, and woke up on my own at 5:30 am, ready for the day. It was fabulous!
Oh my gosh, that’s the coolest thing ever. I love the wake up function the most. I HATE mornings. Usually because I’m so groggy and tired and just want to go back to sleep. But if I could wake up in the optimal time, that would be awesome!
Oh wow! Waking up is so hard. This would be great. What a fantastic idea. Thanks for sharing about it.
My biggest challenge is stopping my projects and going to bed at a decent time. There isn’t much time during the day to do stuff so at night is when I can finally get things accomplished.
I think my biggest obstacles is getting my brain to shut up. It is hard for me to fall asleep and usually wake up every 2-3 hours.
I love the idea of this, but I worry about the headband all night. I have had bouts with insomnia for the last few years, once going 6 weeks on no sleep… If it can help with that I will get over the headband! :)
I am able to sleep through many thing but my husband doesn’t sleep well at all. He has frequent night terrors. I would like to see is this would help him out.
This look so cool. It would be very interesting to know what I could do to sleep better. Having little kids and a loud radiator hampers my sleeping. Thanks
my tweet – https://twitter.com/#!/KristyLewis4
My biggest obstacle to a good night’s sleep comes in 3 forms: The Hubs who snores, the Daughter who wakes a 2 am and then 5:30 am and wants to watch cartoons, and the dog who wants to go out at 3 am. It’s a good thing I love my family or I’d have to move out! lol!
I did a sleep study and it was one of the smartest things I’ve ever done. I would love for my husband to do the same but he is unwilling to commit to going to a sleep center. This would be a great way for him to get the same information right from the comfort of home. Sounds like a great gadget!
https://twitter.com/#!/LilyBard/status/157156295139536896
This looks so cool! I would totally love to try this and it would be so cool to have an alarm wake me up at the “optimal” time.
Mine would be staying asleep all night.
My biggest challenge is my husband…he complains if I go to bed before him which equals guilt trip for me…and if he falls asleep before me (he has such a loud snore)!
Thank you for this review. I have been thinking about getting a Zeo for a while.
My biggest obstacle to a good night’s sleep is caffeine. I would use the Zeo to figure out how late in the day I can consume caffeine without disturbing my sleep.
I would love to have one of these things! I hope I win!!
AweSome idea I could totally use this insomnia is my biggest problem
Did not add my address to my previous post. here it is attached now lol
Right now, my biggest obstacle to getting a good night sleep is being in the third trimester of my pregnancy. I swear I can never get comfortable enough to get a really good night of sleep.
That would be awesome! My biggest problem is I have a 3 yr old that loves to climb in bed at night. My husband has sleep apnea and it would be good to see how he is doing too.
This would be really nice. Maybe I could then figure why I toss and turn so much. Very cool
Just blogged about this! Good luck everyone! :)
http://corieslifeisgreener.blogspot.com/2012/01/whatever-helps-you-sleep-at-night.html
wow, I really need this for my husband. He swears that 5 hours of sleep is enough for him… even though I tell him it’s going to take years off of his life!
My husband and I were just talking about these! They are so cool I would love one! My night’s sleep sounds a lot like yours… chatting until late with my husband, a bathroom break and getting up to feed the baby. I always think that since having kids I have become such a light sleeper. I would like to find out if I actually do sleep at night!
The hardest part about getting to sleep for me is just having to ignore the emails and text messages, there is always something that seems to be more important than sleep!
My obstacle is getting up on time. I suspect I’d actually sleep better if I got up earlier, but at 6:00am I just want to stay in bed!
I’ve been having trouble sleeping since I started having symptoms of Hodgkins Lymphoma during my first pregnancy in 2002. And it got even worse during 2006 when they found it right after my second baby and I underwent chemo and radiation. I’m tired all of the time and fight fatigue constantly. I have a hard time falling asleep. I bet this would help me actually think more about how to get a good night’s sleep, know when I’m actually sleeping and not just resting.
the biggest obstacle to my sleep is my 3 kids–ages 1, 3 & 5. One, two and sometimes three of them wake me up through the night for various reasons. Can’t wait till they’re through this stage!!!
The largest obstacle I have to a good night sleep is me. I keep doing ‘just one more thing’. I’m working on it.
This would be great for my husband. We’ve been married for 48 years, and for all that time, he has never been able to sleep through the night. He seems to have a heightened built in clock. He will wake up each hour, on the hour, or at 11:15, 12:15, 1:15, etc… all night long. Other things disturb him too, and I have tried moving the clock so he can’t see it, but that just makes him crazy. *sigh*
https://twitter.com/#!/LittleBeek
I want this for my husband! He has so much trouble turning his brain off at night and his sleep really suffers!
This is so interesting! I would love to try this.
My 2 month old is definitely my biggest sleep obstacle.
that looks awesome!
Wow! That sounds like an amazing little tool! The best part of it for me sounds like the alarm timer thing! I always have the hardest time waking up in the morning, and anything to help make it easier sounds like a fantastic invention!
I tend to stay up too late and sleep too late. Also, I think a lot at night and that keeps me from falling asleep.
I fall asleep quickly. But after my four year old comes in to wake us up at random times during the night, I can not go back to sleep! Sometimes I think a four year old is as bad as a newborn!
My baby wakes me up (a lot lately!), then I have trouble quieting my mind to fall back asleep. I wish I had an on/off button!
I have a hard time fall alseep. Once I am asleep I think sleep deeply, but who knows. Maybe I would know if I had a Zeo :)
i sleep horribly and could use the help figuring out what my problems are!
My husband soooo needs this!
This is awesome! My biggest obstacle is going to bed early…and then quieting my brain.
I tweeted! https://twitter.com/#!/oowidescrnoo/status/157161714968834048
I would love this!! Sometimes I am in bed for enough hours but wake up tired!!
wow! I have never heard of this, but I am totally intrigued! I am one of those moms who turns into an absolute MONSTER if I don’t get the sleep I need! So, this could be very beneficial to me in helping me learn my sleep patterns, and improving them. I love the alarm feature.
I tweeted! https://twitter.com/#!/spunkygirl61
That is COOL! I would love to see what mine said! I bet it’s just as I suspect….you need more sleeeeeeep!
My greatest obstacle is my 4 month old. Even though he started sleeping throught the night @ 3 months i still wake up and wonder if he is still breathing. Well that, and my husband. I get up with him at 5 am to get him ready for work. :O)
Wow! I’ll get a new phone just so I can use this! I’m a restless and light sleeper. I’d sure like to know how often I wake each night. Thank you for the opportunity to win.
I never feel rested and am woken up sometimes several times a night by my husband getting up. I would love to see how much good sleep I actually get and convince my husband to stay in bed(lay off the nighttime eating too!) and maybe get him to be quiet when he does!
I think my biggest obstacle is that the time just before I go to sleep is the only time in the day that I have completely to myself (my husband goes to sleep pretty early). It’s really tempting to stay up late reading instead of just going to sleep. I pay for it the next day with exhaustion and crankiness, though, so it’s probably not worth it.
My biggest obstacle is my 3 daughters tag teaming me all night! One of them is always awake!
ashmccomb@gmail.com
Hmmmm. Going to bed too late is probably my biggest problem. What I really want is to see what the Zeo says about my husband- he says he hardly ever feels really rested after waking up in the morning, even when he’s had 8 hours.
I am a terrible sleeper (baby doesn’t help). I’d love one!
This is so cool! I need one of these to help me. I’m pretty sure I sleep way more than I really need.
My biggest obstacle is actually falling asleep, even when I go to bed early, it takes me forever to actually go to sleep.
Letting go of all my stress before bed is the challenge!
I have periods of great nights of sleep and then wakeful nights where I get up and read for 1-3 hours until I feel tired again. But either way, I have such a hard time getting up in the morning! I love the alarm on this gadget that picks the best time for you to wake up. I’d love to try it out!
I don’t have a twitter account, but did post this on my little blog. http://blueshobby.blogspot.com/
My biggest challenges for a good nights sleep are a 5 month old daughter, and allergies through which sleep apnea stealthily wakes me up without knowing why. My wife says when she’s up with the baby she’ll catch me stop breathing at times.
my biggest obstacle to getting to sleep is getting my brain to stop racing through all of the things i have to do the next day. I love the smart alarm clock idea!
my biggest obstacles are my cold toes (solved: wear fuzzy socks to bed, i kick them off sometime during the night) and my noisy husband. since he got a c-pap, he’s MUCH quieter, and i sleep much better. he’s not a firm believer in his c-pap, but i say wear it for me…so he does…
My biggest obstacle is my husband! He’s a violent sleeper and talks loudly in his sleep. I’ve woken up to him actively trying to push me out of the bed, and my personal favorite was when he woke me up with a congressional address…he can’t remember any of it when he wakes up, but I sure can!
I cannot get really agitated right before bedtime… then it is hard for me to relax and think happy thoughts.
I think I would give that baby a run for it’s money! I can never fall asleep and then once I do, I wake up a billion times! *getting sleepy just thinking about not sleeping* I think it would be a rainbow of colors in the morning! lol :)
This sounds awesome. I would love to try something like this to see how much sleep I am getting, and how often I am waking up.
My biggest challenge is going to bed early enough to get enough sleep before waking up at 5 in the morning. I know I should go to bed earlier, but 9 just seems so early! Plus, I need to get so many things done between 8 when my daughter goes to bed and 9, when I should go to bed.
I would love to win! It would be interesting to find out how I sleep. I can sleep the same amount of time and feel tired one morning and not the next. THanks for the giveaway
This is so amazing! My biggest stumbler for sleep is being able to shut off my brain. I want to get on a schedule of at least seven hours of sleeping per night in 2012. Thanks!
Does sound kinda gimmicky – but it also sounds like a good idea. Love that it would wake up at the ideal time in the am. There are so many days when I need a few extra minutes…. LOL
I REALLY want this for my husband!! I think he may have sleep apnea, but he won’t go to a doctor. This little device would be perfect!
Oooh! i would love to try one of these. My biggest challenge is that I’m a morning person and my beloved man is a night owl. I frequently end up going to bed too late in order to spend more time with him and then have a difficult time adjusting to the morning alarm. How cool to track your sleep patterns and get a better sense of what your sleep needs are!
Thanks!
Gwen
For me, it’s getting to bed early and it always takes a while to fall asleep!
Right now the biggest sleep obstacle is being pregnant. And our old, lazy, fat dog snores like it’s her job – need to get her out of our room!!
I would love to see if the times my hubbys says i am asleep and i feel like i am awake who is right :)
I feel very aware of what is going on around me and he says i am lightly snoring, therefore asleep.
Janice
With kids its hard to go to bed early! Its so easy to stay up and finish something while they are sleeping. Its so cool that it can know the best time to wake you up. Would love this thing!
I have hard time shutting my brain off at night, but the hardest thing is when I roll over, i feel like have a really hard time getting back to sleep afterwards–but I wonder if I am really awake for that long.
having a newborn sure does interupt my sleep! I think that is the hardest part, waking a few times a night and trying to get back to sleep.
My biggest sleep obstacle is getting to be early to get 8 hours of sleep before rising early to exercise. I love exercising in the morning, but it’s a challenge if I’m not well-rested!
tweet: https://twitter.com/#!/blondiesrock/status/157166157151993857
I blogged about it: http://gurleys.blogspot.com/2012/01/zeo.html
My biggest sleep challenge is hubby!!!! He has night terrors and this tool would be a HUGE help and blessing for us.
Kids, husband and worrying about the next day.
This is so cool! My husband’s snoring wakes me! I would love to win this and use the alarm so I’m awake at just the right time!
My biggest sleep problem is my husband. He works the graveyard shift so I’d like him to try it out
My husband who snores loud enough to wake the dead, and once I have kicked him five times, then the worries from the day enter my head. I get very little sleep unfortunately.
I LOVE THIS!!! If I don’t win, we’re gonna have to save up to buy one. My husband is completely exhausted every morning, and I have a hunch that he isn’t getting the deep sleep he needs at night. I would love to use this for him!
I would love to win this not for myself, but for my husband, who has suffered with insomnia since he was a small child. It would be great use a tool such as this to track his sleep patterns and habits, allowing us to adjust his sleep in his favor, so that he can finally get some much needed zzzzzz’s. Oh, and I tweeted about you too: https://twitter.com/#!/JulieStrier/status/157167306978508801.
I would *love* to strap that baby on my husband, as his snoring is my biggest obstacle to a good night’s sleep!
My biggest obstacle is getting my mind to shut off and let me fall asleep!
My biggest sleep obstacle? A 5 month old, adorable baby boy who just wants to nurse 3 or 4 times a night! Add in a potty training 3 year old and 4 year old trying to stay dry all night and there is very little sleep for this mama…but I wouldn’t change a single thing. Better to have them active and healthy!
I don’t have any problem getting to sleep, but I can’t stay asleep…due to the three year old who climbs into bed with us everynight at 3am. And then kicks me until 6am. Not awesome.
I tweeted: https://twitter.com/#!/scgirl816/status/157168649831059456
I am a light sleeper so i hear everything. I hear my little one roll over in bed. I have his monitor in the room but the sound is completely off, i just have it for the video. I leave it dark unless i think he is awake and then i peek. I would love to try this bad boy out and see what it shows. I’m not sure i hit deep sleep…ever.
My biggest obstacle is my 6 month who is missing me during the day. She wants to party at night!
I have sleep apnea and insomnia. this would be so awesome to win, as I would love to be able to analyze my sleep patterns!
Boy do I need this. What with hot flashes and all, I’m not getting good sleep at all right now. The info would be so helpful to have.
My awesomeness keeps me awake…I’m awesome at worrying, and over thinking, and wondering, and day dreaming, and planning, and a million other things that keep my mind running…all. night. long. Awesomeness.
I have a husband who snores, and I also lie awake, waiting for the alarm to go off so I can make it to work on time.
I wake up every night around 4am and cannot go back to sleep for almost an hour, I have no idea why?!?
I also tweeted, but could not figure out how to copy the tweet:

My biggest struggle is my daughter sometimes waking during the night. Also just my own addiction to wanting to watch TV at night. Time flies by before I even know it it is like midnight.
I need to win this for my little brother! He was just diagnosed with a sleep disorder that caused him to have to change careers. This could change his life! I have problems sleeping but he needs this way more! Thanks for the giveaway!
My biggest challenge is making myself get into bed early enough to get enough rest. I’m also a really light sleeper so any little sound wakes me up. Would be interesting to see my sleep patterns documented.
My biggest challenge is staying asleep at night. I can only sleep on my stomach so when I roll over, I wake up.
I tweeted here:
https://twitter.com/status/huddyma/157169397293789184
@huddyma
My biggest obstacle right now is crazy dreams because of pregnancy. Last night I was moaning and whimpering in my sleep so loud it woke my husband up and he asked me if I was okay! I was fine. It made for laughs this morning though. :)
Obstacle= iPhone/ social media
I love the SmartWake feature. I already sleep with a little mask for sleep apnea. I’ve had 2 sleep studies, but never saw the graphs of awake, asleep, REM, etc. That would be so cool. But the SmartWake feature is what has me all excited. Imagine a clock picking the best time to wake me up!!! Now it seems that I hear the alarm right in the middle of a dream (REM sleep?) and it messes up my whole day. Or else my husband pokes me awake after I’ve hit Snooze a couple times and that’s even worse. I’m NOT a morning person and would welcome anything that will ease me into my day…rather than hitting me like a blast of icy water!
Ok this looks amazing. Thought I’m pretty sure my horrible sleeper toddler isn’t going to improve any time soon ;)
Wow, this is pretty cool. I could totally use it to prove to my husband that he should give me a break sometimes and get up with the baby :)
I would love to try this out! My biggest sleep obstacle is me! I’ve always got something I would rather do then go to be early.
Just thinking that I need to do more each day that keeps from going to bed or that I’ve done so much that I feel that I need to just chill and destress before hitting the sheets.
My biggest challenge to sleeping is that my twins were still born at 22 weeks in September of 2011. I think of them when I go to sleep, when I wake up to use the bathroom and all of the “what ifs” run through my head. I am trying not to use the sleep meds my dr perscribed because I don’t like how my head feels in the morning. I need to get to bed earlier and that is something I am working on. My New Years resolution is to get myself feeling better in every aspect of life. Would love anything that can help that.
Getting a better nights sleep was definatley on my “resolution” list and so far so good. My goal is around 7-7.5 hours of sleep a night. Sounds crazy right!! The truth is it felt a little strange going to bed at 9:30 in order to make this a possibility but after a couple of days I can totally feel the difference, like I’m a different person. I have more energy at the office, with my son and even find that I actually want to work out at the end of the day.
The biggest obstacle for me was getting over the fact that finding the time to sleep was “me time”. It’s more of a state of mind hurddle than anything.
My head spins at night thinking of all the things I need to do the next day. That makes it hard to sleep!
Why is it everything seems worse at night, when all a person wants to do is sleep? That’s me. I find I wake up and worry, worry, worry, about something that won’t probably seem all that terrible come morning. But my nighttime self will not listen.

I so need something like this. My youngest was born 5.5 years ago, and I have had insomnia since. He had trouble gaining weight so I have to nurse him every 2 hours during the day and every three hours at night. Only he also couldn’t latch because his tongue and jaw were short. He couldn’t even latch on a bottle. Feedings were a very long process. After four months he finally caught on, but my ability to sleep for more than 2 hours at a time was shot. I am back up to about 4 at a time. Something like this would really help me get back on track!
My obstacle to more sleep? Myself!
very cool. I have a busy brain and often have a hard time settling in to sleep. Then my 4 year old is having a lot of “bad” dreams. it would be very interesting to see the quality of my sleep.
For the first time in my life, I am getting up in the middle of the night – would love to have one of these to see what is going on with my sleep! Pam
This sounds so dang cool. I’d love to try it on my hubs too, too see if his quality of sleep changes when he shifts positions and starts to snore. My biggest issue for sleep is having a hard time falling asleep after I’ve woken up in the 3 am to 5 am range. Also, I can linger in that not quite awake not quite asleep place in the morning for a long time. It would be cool to know the optimum time to get up to stave off that hungover feeling from abrupt wakeups.
That is so fascinating. I would love to analyze my sleep.
Wow, I would so love to win this… I have a couple of obstacles getting in the way of good sleep. The first one is totally my fault ,so I guess it doesn’t count. That one is staying up too late and having to get up too early. Then other times, I toss and turn all night long and don’t know why.
jmsndrs4 at gmail.com
I think my biggest problem, like many Moms, is that my kids wake me up in the night with eating, bad dreams, potty breaks, etc. It would be interesting to try this out.

this device sounds really cool! would love to win this.
I have 4 children, 3 of them under 5, 1 of them under a year. I barely sleep as it is with the kids waking up throughout the night, and on top of it, I toss and turn all night long which I know doesn’t help. I would LOVE to win one of these because maybe, JUST MAYBE I’d be able to work out a different sleep pattern if I really knew where the time consumption from 9 pm to 5 am went!
my biggest obstacle to a good/long nights sleep is I feel/want adult time after the kids go to bed. Which, thanks to our anti-sleep 5 year old isn’t until 9pm so I usually don’t get ready for bed till 11….going to sleep at like 12. Long comment sorry!
I have both Narcolepsy and an infant, which means that I must get treatment in order to even be able to have full sleep cycles, but that my treatment is currently being interrupted by the cutest little bottomless pit in the world!
The biggest obstacles to good sleep for me are getting my brain to slow down and my hubby’s snoring .
My twitter link: https://twitter.com/#!/wrapswork
The biggest obstacle is stopping thinking.
My biggest obstacles are going to bed early, since my husband is a night owl and I totally used to be a night owl too! Two pregnancies have changed my sleep needs, I’m almost certain, but I’m stuck on the habits from college-me.
My biggest challenge in getting a good nights sleep is actually going to sleep. I have a hard time turning of my brain at night. It takes me at least a half hour to fall asleep. I have a harder time when it is completely silent in the room. My husband is totally opposite of me and can’t go to sleep if there is any distraction like music or a TV on.
wow, this looks like one interesting gadget. technology is awesome
My biggest obstacle is putting down whatever I’m doing and turning off the light. Once the kids are in bed, I can get a lot done but I always pay with lack of sleep.
My wife and I sleep on different schedules so I always get woken up!
Tweeted about it!
https://twitter.com/starkissdtears/statuses/157176385121681411
biggest obstacle = turning my mind off from thinking of all the things I want to make but don’t have time to at the moment!
and that is SO awesome that it can tell when the right time to wake you up is! I HATE waking up so groggy cause I was in a deeper sleep!
My biggest obsticle is always wanting to do one more thing before I go to bed…. I need to go to bed but first I need to pack my lunch, or set out clothes for my daughter, etc.
The Zeo looks really cool. I think I sleep pretty good at night but would love to have a better way to track how much quality sleep I am getting.
My obstacle is staying up too late since that is “ME” time with my little guy asleep. When else will I get my cute make it and love it crafts done! :) Seeing the data from the device would help me see, as you did, that I need to make better sleep decisions.
That is SO cool! I can just see my whole family passing it around and wanting to borrow it for a few nights! ;)
My biggest obstacle isn’t falling asleep, its getting back to sleep after getting up to use the bathroom, especially if I have a lot going on in my life. I really wish the brain had an off button sometimes.
Ok there is no doubt in my mind that I’m not getting the quality sleep that I need. Its easy to blame it on the kids and wanting more alone time but I know better. I also know that my husband would tease me endlessly for wearing this but I could get over that for more quality sleep. Too often I wake up feeling terrible despite the number of hours of sleep I got, and then occasionally when I get up way earlier then I would like I feel fine. I’d love to get my sleep patterns ironed out so I hope I win! :)
There is just too much to get done in the evenings. Luckily, my little one goes to bed by 7, but that’s when the work begins. This gadget is amazing!
My biggest obstacle is working nights, and trying to sleep during the day. Blackout curtains and sleep masks have yet to do the job…
I think it might scare me how little I’m sleeping …
My kids are responsible for me not getting enough sleep (big surprise, I know). My 2 month old keeps me up late at night sleep/nursing then my 3 year old gets me up in the middle of the night so I can put her blanket back on her. Sometimes only once per night but has been as many as 7 times one night. Don’t worry, that night Dad even got involved.
I have a hard time turning my brain off when I need to sleep. I also have a toddler on a feeding pump who has to sleep in my room, so there are a lot of distractions and disruptions at night. I’m glad you’re having so much success. Good luck with your goals!
My dogs are my biggest obstacle to great sleep. They get me up 1-2 times a night for usually no reason. This would also be a great tool for my husband who has sleep apnea and does not sleep well at all.
Going to bed…just getting there…and being pregnant…those are the biggest ones for me right now.
I was diagnosed with ADHD when my daughter was. I never knew I had it and I had lived with it for over 40 years! I thought that it took everyone a long time to fall asleep at night! I would love to use the Zeo so I can wake up in a certain sleep pattern. That is so technologically advanced I am almost speechless! So great to know that you don’t have to go to a sleep clinic and pay tons of money for them to tell you the same thing!!
I have a hard time staying asleep. I have been off caffeine and exercising more the last 3 years. I have tried writing down my worries before going to bed, have a gratitude journal, done light stretches, all of it. I just can’t sleep through the night!
For me, it’s either my boyfriend who snores, one of my 5 children, 3 animals or just good old insomnia!
Biggest obstacle – hot flashes. Or maybe the hubbie’s snoring.
Mine is thinking about something. Usually I’m fine but if I’ve lost something or have something that needs done or am trying to figure out the best way to do something, my brain goes into overdrive and I just can’t calm down. So I usually just try to have everything done (impossible!)
I actually took a class in college called ‘Sleep Seminar”. At that time I was practically narcoleptic. Fell asleep in any long class, fell asleep driving once (bad!!). So not being able to sleep is a new thing (I’m blaming the kids).
This is really interesting to me.
My husband’s snoring is what keeps me awake at night!!
That is the coolest thing ever!! I would love to try one! :0)
- jen
My biggest obstacle would be my husband not being able to sleep. He has horrible allergies and will blow his nose in the middle of the night! I’m not the heaviest sleeper so that wakes me up immediately. Also, him getting a brand new puppy hasn’t helped our situation. It’s like being parents to a new born all over again!
My biggest obstacle to a good night’s sleep is my 8 month old! Sometimes she wakes up in the middle of the night:( Also, I have a hard time falling asleep. It would be interesting to me to see my REM sleep, Deep Sleep, etc…. stats. What a cool gadget! Thanks for the opportunity to win one! ♥ Jill
I totally need this! Sounds super cool. Off to read more about it!
I have a hard time falling asleep. Sometimes it takes up to an hour! So that is my biggest obstacle to a good night’s sleep.
Oh! That is awesome. I could see it being very helpful getting up at the right point. There’s something about the time I have to get up to put my little one on the bus that is really rough somedays. I think I wake when my dear hubby goes out and just get back to deep sleep when the alarm sounds :/ wish I could get one.
I have 6 kids, 5 big dogs, and a husband who gets up several times during the night. I would love to try one of these out to find out when i am really sleeping. I love the idea that it wakes you up at a good time for you, not just what time the alarm is set to go off. Thanks for the opportunity to win !!
OMG I looove the smart wake idea!!!! It would be so great not to start out the morning feeling like I was hit by a bus when my alarm clock goes off!!
Wow, what a neat contraption! My biggest obstacle right now is by 8 1/2 month preggo belly combined with a three year old who usually wakes up once a night wanting to be rocked. In a few weeks… it’ll definitely be the newborn that will be in our room!
I have a 4 month old who gets up twice a night to be fed. Oh what a good night sleep would do for me!
Definitely my 10 month old who is dealing with jet lag… or something else. There is always something related to him that keeps me from getting the best sleep possible.
my biggest obstacle is actually getting to bed at a decent time. Having recently gotten married, I think I’m still not used to having someone else in my bed! I wake up much more than I did before. :) (Although, I’ll take that, if it means I get to be married!!!)
My biggest problem in getting to sleep is worrying about getting enough sleep to get me through the next day! I can only imagine how crazy my sleep pattern will be when we have kids!
I think I really need to try this gadget! I had no idea that such a thing existed, and I think I could really benefit from it. My husband wakes me up often in the night (snoring, grinding his teeth, talking, hogging blankets), not to mention any of our 4 kids, or dog moving around in the night. I wake up most mornings feeling exhausted and I wonder if it is even worse than I realize. It is very rare that I wake up feeling rested or energized and ready to start my day. I would love to know if I am getting any quality of sleep, or if it just feels worse than it is. And the feature that wakes you up at an optimal cycle seems brilliant!!!
I often wake up feeling really tired because my son woke me up while I was deeply asleep. I love the idea of an alarm that can sense when the best time is to wake you.
My biggest barrier to a good nigjt’s sleep is breadtfeeding my 4 month old son. And going to bed online.
i have a really hard time falling asleep and a really hard time waking up at the times that i want to. it would be interesting to see how deep of a sleep i am in the morning when my alarm clock goes off. this could be a very useful thing!
What a neat gadget. I never knew they sold them. I’d love to try it. I go through periods of insomnia. I seriously think it is hormonal because it tends come and go. Usually for 3-6 days at a time. Thank goodness for some ambien on those days. I’ve never had an easy time falling asleep – even when I’m not being a total insomniac. I usually have to do something like a puzzle to make my brain stop thinking of other things and get tired. And I have a 3 year old who likes to wake up in the night regularly still.
I am up all night long and am always exhausted when I “wake up” for the day. I will remember seeing the clock at all hours of the night, but then my husband will say I was snoring! I would love to prove him wrong and show him exactly how little sleep I actually get and manage to function on while managing a household, dog and 1 year old and a 5 year old.
Interesting. I’m afraid I should be going to bed earlier too. I just wish my daughter wouldn’t wake up earlier when I get up earlier.
I have a 6 week old baby boy who likes to eat every two hours! I think that pretty much sums up my sleeping issues :)
This has to be the coolest thing. Like many others, I rarely wake up feeling completely rested. Some nights, I can’t shut my mind down, others my legs are restless, and then other nights, dreams plaque me. Would love to try this out and love the idea of the alarm that wakes you at the best time. Thanks for a chance to win!!
My biggest obstacle is working closing shifts – staying awake enough to drive home often results in needing to take too much time winding down to get to sleep.
One of my kids is a lark and another is an owl. Squeezing “Me” time and sleep time between the two is tricky.
I sleep walk so sometimes I have a very hard time going back to sleep. I totally need this!
What an interesting little gadget! I bet it would be revealing for all of us to get that kind of information…and hopefully that information would empower us to improve. Well, I suppose that by “us,” I mean “me.” I completely agree with you about the earlier to bed, earlier to rise, makes for a happier life. Easier said than done, however–when you’ve been waiting all day to accomplish whatever, it’s hard to force yourself into bed once the kids/baby are asleep.
I once spent a night and a day in a sleep clinic being tested for sleep disorders, which meant that all kinds of information was tracked. I wish I had a printout of that data. The Zeo would be so cool, and motivating for me. As a person who needs lots of sleep to function (but currently lacks discipline to get it), I would be pretty excited about that tool. Thanks for participating in the program so that we could maybe win a Zeo, too!
My biggest obstacle is that my brain won’t stop and slow down!!!
My biggest obstacle is being 39 1/2 weeks pregnant with a 3 1/2 year old, and 21 month old who don’t sleep through the night!
i blogged about it!
http://www.blogger.com/blogger.g?blogID=20042238#editor/target=post;postID=5072342223538011726
sorry wrong link, i posted another comment with the correct link.
My biggest obstacle is me, I can never fall asleep very well,
My biggest obstacle is headaches at night and my husband’s snoring. Thanks for the chance!
My biggest obstacle would be I’m due with #2 in 2 weeks – honestly though I’ve always had a hard time falling asleep and getting a good night’s sleep. This would be really interesting.
i blogged about it!
http://keekerann.blogspot.com/2012/01/make-it-and-love-it-zeo-sleep-manager.html
I want this to track my husbands sleep. He never feels well rested!
My biggest obstacle is my husband, and thats all she wrote
My problem is when I can’t turn my brain off. Too much worry, too much stress!
I just had a very expensive sleep study that could have given me some of the same results…. I would like to track it to compare how I’m doing now… I want this!!
My biggest obstacle would be thinking too much. Especially if I am trying to work out a sewing problem or come up with ideas for a project…. They all seem to come when I am trying to fall asleep!
My sweet baby girl- 6 mo old- eating a couple of times in the middle of the night and a 3 1/2 year old little boy who occasionally has to go potty in the middle of the night, or has a bad dream.
This would be AMAZING!
My husband is a dream/sleep freak. He would love to track is sleep cycles. ME PLEASE!
I never feel like I get enough sleep.. it would be amazing if I could figure out exactly why and correct it!
I have a large family, so the only “me-time” is while everyone else is asleep. For some reason, it’s so much easier to stay up later than to get up earlier! I love that little alarm feature…
I have problems falling asleep and then going back to sleep once my baby wakes up in the middle of the night! I still love the little guy, though! I’m always so tired in the mornings, so I’d love to see how I’m doing! Thank you for the chance!
My biggest disruption would probably be the snoring husband or the annoying cat.
oh goodness, sleep is a precious and rare commodity around here! My biggest obstacles are my light sleeping kids, each are usually up between 2-4 times a night, then the snoring from the pug, and the husband keep me up once the kids have woke me!
Great review. I had no idea something like this existed! I’d love to try it out too.
My biggest obstacle is my little boy – he wakes up a lot during the night. Yawn :)
My beautiful, sweet, hungry in the middle of the night, 3 month old daughter and my husbands inability to breastfeed :p
My biggest obsticle is worrying about my 18 year old son! No sooner does my brain solve one of my worries than it thinks of another! I would just like to know if I get any good sleep at all! I would take 2 hours at this point. THanks for the review I am going to go research this more.
Seems like a neat gadget!
My biggest sleeping hurdle would have to be the constant pain from my RSD and the medications that I have to take to manage the disorder. It would be interesting and very helpful to know my sleep patterns due to these factors. Maybe I could come up with a better way for me to get more than 2/3 hours of good sleep each day. AJ@queenofmynest
My biggest obstacle right now is that I just started my 2nd Trimester and can’t get comortable.
I have never heard of this before! It is pretty cool because I never sleep thru the night and my children are grown. My doctors are aware of my sleeping and try to help me but it would be really neat to see the actual patterns and maybe figure out how to make it better so that I can feel better during the day! Thanks for posting about this and the chance to win one!!
My biggest challenge in getting to sleep is the fact that I wake at every little noise. My kids wake up at night and cry for odd reasons and I have to get up to put them back down. I wake probably 3-4 times a night and it always takes me about 1/2 an hour to fall asleep. I wish I could sleep through the night all night..
I’m so excited to even put in an entry to win, wish I had the extra cash to go out today and get this. I loved how well you explained the process and how easy it was to do and learn, I’m a bit of a skeptic too! I have the worst sleep because of the same reasons, it seems like a great time to do anything else but sleep. Time to read or snack or anything else. I realize that I’m not just a mom but I need to take better care of myself too! Happy New Year!
This sounds sooooo cool!! I would LOVE to try this out!!
For me the hardest part is falling asleep. I have anxiety and something in my brain seems to think that if I fall asleep before 5 AM I’m going to be murdered. I got a dog to help ease some of that, and while it seems to be working somewhat, I now have to deal with a puppy in my bed who needs to be let out or else he poops in my bathtub. I doubt this tiny machine could handle my insanity.
Would love to track my sleep and learn more about this! What a cool giveaway!
How cool is that device. My biggest obstacle to getting a great nights sleep is my 5 kids :)
Holy Awesome! My husband downloaded some sleep app but it wasn’t quite as sophisticated as this. My biggest obstacle in getting to sleep is named Lucy and she is 2 1/2 and we are trying to figure out what to do with that pesky nap of hers because she never wants to take it at a normal time but if we let her stay up, hoping that she will go to bed early, she ends up taking a late nap at 4 or 5 and staying up until all hours of the night. But occasionally, when she does get to bed at a reasonably time, it’s a book that keeps me up (or the computer!).
As someone who has struggled with sleep issues for years, maybe something like this would help me track the source of my problem. Thanks for introducing me to a such an awesome product!
OMG – I so totally need that thing! I don’t seem to ever get a good nights sleep any more. I thought it was my matress so I went and bought a new one last month but I’m STILL miserable. Maybe that could clue me into what is going on!
I need this really bad! I wake up every morning feeling tired and like I didn’t sleep at all. I also have a really hard time getting to sleep at night. This product would help me see what’s going on with my sleep patterns. Thank you for this giveaway. I was not aware of this product.
A little skeptical to this idea, but I’m in NEED of some good sleep! My husband’s moving around (and his alarm on snooze every 10 minutes for an HOUR) is killing me!
I would LOVE one of these! I’ve always been fast to fall asleep but it’s so hard for me to stay asleep during the night! Especially being newly married and now having to share my bed!
This sounds so cool! I would love to try it out!
my biggest obstacle is my baby. Buts thats understandable!
My biggest obstacle to a good nights sleep is my newborn girly! But, she’s so fun that I can be tired for a while!
Thank you so much for this opportunity! My biggest obstacle is my husband’s snoring.
This would be perfect for me! Before kids, I LOVED sleep. Now my obstacles are my two kids waking up during the night, my spouse who tosses and turns and the 120 lb dog that sleeps in our bed after my husband assured me when he was a puppy that the dog would only be in the bed “for the night.” That was 5 years ago.
Worry keeps me up, and my husband’s snoring. I want a Zeo!
I’ve had sleeping problems for a while now. It’s miserable. I’m totally needing this device!!!
So cool. My kids and my husbands snoring and my restless legs mostly…
My biggest obstacle to a good night’s sleep is reading. I lose all track of time when I’m lost in a book!
I am such a Grouchy when my sleep gets messed up! My family would thank you and best buy if I were the winner!
That is one of the funniest things I’ve ever seen and after this past week I’d love to have it. Maybe it would motivate me to get to bed at a descent time.
Tweeted about your giveaway.
https://twitter.com/#!/mcrushh
My biggest obstacle is little kids and a baby that won’t let me go to sleep or keep waking me up.
My biggest obstacle to getting a good night’s sleep…my 2 month old baby!
I know most people are often lacking a good night of sleep, including myself. I couldn’t possibly afford a cool little item like the Zeo, so, I hope I win. ;)
My husband I an were just looking at this to buy for me and my daughter (we both are light/sensitive sleepers)! It would be great to win it! :)
My greatest barrier to a good night’s sleep right now is a baby that wakes every 3 hrs to nurse…but when we have only kiddos who sleep through the night, I have a hard time relaxing and “shutting down” my brain to let me sleep.
This would be great! years ago I did a sleep study due to some apnea – it would be great to see my current patterns…
I find it funny that we mostly have the same obstacle: kids! It’s definitely true for me! I have a 6, 5, and 3 year old, plus a 10 month old, most of which are not great sleepers! It would be interesting to see how I’m actually sleeping!
My biggest obstacle… my 10 month old son. He is waking up all the time at the moment!
So far my biggest obstacle is my husband. He thrashes about the bed and snores like a banshee. Yes, I do have to wear ear plugs. I love him, though and would take a lifetime of weirded out sleep for him.
I would love to win one for my husband. He works alternating shift work. So, day, afternoon and night shifts and I have always wondered how good of sleep he is getting during the day or late morning, etc. Very cool product!
ThiS was fascinating! My biggest issue is not going to bed early. I have too much to do after the baby goes to bed!
Unfortunately, I have some medical issues that cause sleep problems. I’ve always wondered how much sleep I actually get at night!
My biggest obstacle to getting good sleep is getting to bed on time and not just staying up late to enjoy the sleeping children!
This would be so cool! I don’t get restful sleep right now because of my 3 month old baby. But, I would LOVE this for my husband! He falls asleep so quickly and easily but never seems rested. It would be really interesting to see what that said!
Having to get up early to exercise/live life! Ughhhh!! :)
My biggest struggle with sleep is getting to bed at a decent hour.
Just like everybody else, my biggest obstacle is the little gaffer in the next room. Always waking me up when he’s hungry… the nerve! ;) It doesn’t help that I go to bed FAR too late (I’m always too busy chatting with my hubby, ’cause it’s our only time to hang out!) But, I always just tell my self… “Self, you can sleep in the next life.”
I tweeted. https://twitter.com/#!/SarahFurman/status/157209097551347712
Ahhhhh I wish I could sleep well. the pms and inisomes are not working either. I donno what keeping me up. i have tried baths , warm milk, and what ever i was told to do. but no help
I would love to win 1 :)
My problem is that I never want to go to bed at night, and then I never want to wake up in the morning. I don’t have a choice about mornings though, with a 3-year-old and a 7-month-old (who doesn’t sleep through the night.) If I knew when I got my best sleep, maybe that would help me get my butt to bed in time to get that sleep.
Also, we just finished watching the first season of The Walking Dead and it’s hard to sleep when you keep thinking about zombies attacking your family.
Or I’d also love to win this for my dad. He’s always had a hard time sleeping. And he was recently diagnosed with sleep apnea. It would be interesting to see how the C-pap machine affects his sleep patterns.
We live in 312 squ feet. All 4 of us. Obstacles to good sleep, would be my husband working on his computer late at night in bed, my 5 year old having nightmares, waking me up, and me being really worried she is going to wet my bed. Then there is the 14 mo old who still likes to wake up….for what reason I don’t know. So basically, when one wakes…I wake. I would love to see how I could adjust my schedule to get more sleep.
For me it’s getting my mind to quiet it self from the day…or I stay up to late knitting…then my 1 year old pup wakes me at 5 or 5:30 to potty…then I’m barely back asleep before my alarm goes off at 6:00 for work leaving me groggy! Oh and my husbands snoring!
How cool! If I don’t win one, I must buy one. I was just thinking it would be cool to have an invention like this but had no idea one actually existed! I have twin boys so they’re my biggest obstacle in getting to sleep; thinking about all the things I have to do the next day is too. I get a decent amount of sleep, but still always feel tired so I bet I’m waking up a bunch at night. I’ve always had problems sleeping so anything I can do to get a better night’s rest is a must for me. I’d like my boyfriend to try it too because I’m pretty sure he has apnea that’s waking him at night.
This is so fascinating! What a neat tool to have! My biggest obstacle to a good night sleep is that my husband works nights and I tend to stay up later without him there. Then I have to wake up at 6:30 a.m. to undo the deadbolt that only works from the inside… so my sleep is not the greatest…. oh well, something more to work on.
How amazing! I’d love to know how I sleep, since I wake most days so tired, and fall asleep reading often.
I fall asleep just fine, but then around 3:00 I wake up and am awake for hours. Would love this gizmo to help figure out what’s going on!
My biggest obstacle to sleep is my husband snoring!!! :) Seriously, though, I do feel that I don’t get quality sleep and wake up a lot. It would be amazing to figure out why that is and reduce it!
For me the biggest hurdle is shutting my brain down. I am going to school for my DVM and I study right up until I go to bed but if I don’t leave enough time to destress in some way then I think about all of the stuff I need to get done the next day. Beyond the I never want to get out of bed in the morning and even though I know those extra 10 minutes aren’t worth it, I just can’t say no.
My biggest obstacles are my two children (2 years and 6 months).
The biggest obstacle to good sleep? It’s a toss up between having my toddler climb into bed with us anytime between 1am and 5am and staying up to late trying to get some me time or getting extra stuff done. I would love to give this a try and see if it adds to my overall energy level by getting a better night’s sleep. Thanks!
My biggest sleep obstacle is my twin 14 month old babies waking up and not wanting to go back to sleep! With age they will learn, but i’d love to have a tool to help with my sleep tracking – sounds very cool
My biggest obstacle to sleep is an ever active mind. Still haven’t found the off switch ;)
I have a little six month old who still needs her nighttime feeding!
My current obstacle is the fact that my 5-month-old is stil in a pack n’ play in our bedroom and hasn’t learned to sleep through the night. Our 2-year-old is in the other bedroom, and we’re planning on keeping them in separate rooms for now when we hopefully get our 3 bedroom short sale house. That, of course, has taken longer than we planned. *SIGH* Starting tonight, though, we’re going to try something new. :)
My biggest challenge to getting to sleep is my husband. His favorite time to talk is as I’m falling asleep!
This would be amazing! Our youngest (9 months) has just started sleeping through the night a few nights a week and I really need to get my sleep in order. Chasing her and our 2.5 year old around all day wears me out and I know i’m not sleeping as much as I should or could be.
My biggest challenge is turning my brain off at night and actually falling asleep. Not to mention another big challenge, my husband doesn’t have his drivers license so I have to pick him up from work. He works second shift so he’s not done until 9:30pm and we don’t get back home until after 10pm some nights. We also have a two year old that is pushing her limits and tries to stay awake to play or try and steal a snack.
I take forever to go to sleep and my husband snores. Those two things don’t go well together!
My biggest obstacle is to turn my brain off. I go from my paid job from 530-1130, to the gym, until about 130a and then come home and work on developing my photography and editing skills. getting to bed before 4am is always a challenge, there are always things on my to do list.
I am my biggest obstacle. I like ME time when the house is quiet, but I would probably be more productive going to bed earlier and waking up earlier.
I love this! My biggest sleeping obstacle is turning off my brain! Would love to check out my sleep patterns.
388′s barrier is the same as mine. I want to start viewing good sleep habits as a ‘me time’.
Nothing in my life is conducive to good sleep. I’m so tired at the end of the day that sometimes I fall asleep on the sofa while folding laundry or feeding the baby, and waking to drag myself to bed only makes me feel like I’ve had no sleep at all. My hubby likes to stay up late, and that’s the only time we have together–I always feel like I need that more than anything, until the next morning. I’ve had to train myself to sleep through his many “snoozes”, since he sets his alarm for 1 1/2 hours before he gets up–but I still need to wake at the sound of my own alarm. Moreover, my kids are not early birds at all, so I can’t seem to get us all on a smooth routine. And, with all of my sleep juggling, I can’t seem to find how many hours I actually need. Sometimes 4 1/2 seems just fine, but 8 is never enough!
The biggest problem for my sleep cycle is my baby. She feels the need to get up 2 times a night to eat and daddy just sleeps right through it all.
my 21 month old isn’t a big fan of sleeping through the night, so that’s been my biggest issue lately. also, my pregnant bladder very recently!
My husband falls asleep the minute his head hits the pillow. Me, it takes awhile to fall asleep. The only problem is, as soon as I fall asleep I don’t hear my husbands snoring, but while I try to fall asleep, his snoring drives me crazy!!!
My biggest obstacle to sleep is my kids! Ages 4, 3, 2 and a new baby last week — good luck, right?!
My biggest sleep obstacle are my children. At least one of them wakes me up for something every single night. The Zeo can’t do anything about that, but that SmartWake feature sounds really cool and like something I could really use.
Oh, neat! I’m totally wanting one just for the smartwake feature. Will it pick up sleep apnea if that’s an issue?
I’d love to get my Mum to try this gadget. She’s menopausal and suffers terribly with waking up too early. Her mind races and she cant relax enough to get back to sleep. I’m sure if she could use a Zeo she’d be able to get a better nights sleep.
My 6 month old is definitely my biggest sleep obstacle. I was definitely spoiled by my 1st born.
I work third shift. I don’t know if you’ve ever read any research done on the horrors of overnight work and the human body but it’s pretty bleak and I’m going into my fifth year. I’ve been more or less stuck on overnights because I also go to school full-time and I have a 6 year old so I can schedule life better this way. So daylight, general daytime noise, the human body’s desire to sleep while it’s dark outside, and probably some other stuff are all massive obstacles in the way of me getting a proper amount of sleep. Some days I can only swing a couple of hours of sleep. If I could track the ideal times for me to sleep, I could better schedule my life.
I would love to try this during my sleepwalking episodes
My biggest challenge is my work schedule. I work and seven on seven off graveyard shift so one week I sleep during the day and am awake all night and work and then on my week off I switch back to a “normal” sleep schedule so I can be on the same page as my family. Some days I feel ok but other days I am just exhausted. It would be interesting to know how this affects my sleep patterns. This product sounds awesome!
This seems so interesting!!! I would love to test it out.
My husband could so benefit from this. He has a hard time going to sleep and staying asleep. Sometimes he know why and sometimes he doesn’t. He also sets his wake up alarm for so so much earlier than he needs to be up so he can “snooze” which is nuts. The gradual wake feature sounds amazing. I wish I could win this for him!
My kids! My 2 year old usually wakes up around 2, then gets all the way up about 4:30! Though she’s at Disneyland with Grandma this week, and I’m still waking up at the same times… This sounds like it would provide super interesting data!
My biggest obstacle to getting a good nights rest is the kids. I work full time so getting them picked up, fed, bathed, booked and bed takes until about 8:30. Then I that’s chore time and get ready for the next day. My boys sure keep me busy and the little one 18month old still doesn’t sleep threw the night every night.. Ughhh..
Thanks for the giveaway opportunity.
and thanks for your wonderful blog!
Wow! This thing looks cool! (Well, I’m sure not actually on….but the info it records is priceless I’m sure!) Thanks for sharing! My biggest sleep failure is that I relax after I get in bed and end up surfing the web on my phone. I end up staying up for hours catching up on my fave blogs, fb, twitter, and pinterest! :((
Wow, how interesting. I find waking to feed my baby and my husbands snoring to be the largest challenges I have. I would love to know which one wakes me more ;) I’m guessing it is not the baby. What a great review. I might even consider purchasing this if the price is right. Thanks for the giveaway.
Hilary
I posted about this contest on my blog. Here is the link. http://trnlgolightly.blogspot.com/2012/01/zeo-sleep-manager-contest.html
My biggest obstacle is getting to bed on time. My “alarm” (2year old) wakes me up at the same time every day!
I’d love to win my very own Zeo Sleep Manager. Thank you for the opportunity. Love your ideas.
I have a hard time putting my book down to read.
Noisy husband. Snoring, mouth breathing, sleep talking – all from the other side of the bed.
I have nightmares a lot.
That’s really interesting!
I want this so so so bad! What a cool gadget! My biggest sleep obstacle I think is my old bed. I really think I could sleep better if my husband and I just buckled down and got a better quality mattress!
I would love, love, love to win this gadget! I never feel rested when I wake up and would love to test this out!
I have a lot of trouble shutting off my mind…and it interrupts my sleep. I am intrigued by this little gadget and wonder if it would help. It seems less invasive than some things I have heard about.
I have a hard time falling asleep a lot of times with my mind racing. This would be an awesome way to figure out my sleep habits a little more.
Having my alarm go off right when I’m in the middle of deep sleep. Thanks for the give away.
I would love to know when my optimal amount of time should be to sleep. I usually sleep too much or too little. I have yet to find that happy balance.
Would love, love, love this gadget for my hubby! He has ptsd and sleep is one of the biggest obstacles in his recovery. This sounds like it would help, especially the optimal waking time!
This would be really great for me and even for my son! Wow, very interesting!
My biggest obstacle to a good night’s sleep is being woken up when my husband comes to bed later than me. What a cool gadget!
It takes me forever to fall asleep and then I wake up at the slightest noise. Would love to try this out!
Sounds interesting! I would love to try it!
My biggest problem sleeping is keeping my mind clear. My mind is so active that I forget to sleep!
i really want this! I think i have sleep apnea, but i’m not sure. i would like to know how my sleep pattern is!
https://twitter.com/#!/giakaylee29/status/157243566907854849
That is incredible! How valuable it would be to see your actual sleep patterns! The biggest thing that keeps me from getting a good night’s rest is 4 little ones who seem to think that as soon as Mom and Dad are asleep their bed is suddenly the place to be. Some days I wake up to six people in my California King Size bed! I’m glad it’s a big bed, but I’d sure like to sleep without little feet/hands in my face/back/gut/on top of me. :O)
i would love to win this :)
You totally sold me! The biggest obstacle to a good night’s sleep for me is that the baby in my womb is all the time pushing on my bladder and making me get up and go to the bathroom. But even before I never felt rested. I’d love to know what my sleep patterns are!
I have no idea what my biggest obstacle is but I’m exhausted so maybe Zeo can help me figure it out!
My husband is having major problems sleeping. This device would be great to find out why. Thanks.
I would love to win this since I sleep terribly ALL the time. I never seem to be able to shut my head off and am always inventing new things to worry about while I lay awake in bed!
My poor husband has major sleeping issues and is always exhausted. I would love for him to be able to study his sleep patterns and try to figure out a way to get a better night’s sleep – especially since we have a new baby coming in 6 weeks!
My biggest obstacle to a good night’s sleep is either my husband’s raging snoring or our awesome sleep number bed. We’ve had the bed three years and I still haven’t found my “number”. However, hubby sleeps like a baby. I would to try the Zeo on him as well!
I’m not very twitter savvy so I hope this is what you’re looking for… https://twitter.com/#!/cme1nonblonde/status/157251039278534656
Falling asleep has always been rough for me. And now, a newborn doesn’t help. :)
My biggest obstacle to a good night’s sleep is my giant 8 1/2 month pregnant belly… :/
I have the hardest tqime falling asleep. PLUS I JUST HAD A BRAIN. YUNOR REMOVED FTKM MY SKULL ON SUNDAY. TJIS GADGET. OULD HELP A LOT. THANKS GOR THE GIVEAWAY.
LISA
I would be VERY interested in my sleep data. How cool this little thing is!
A few huge obstacles with my sleep, kids of course :), and all the stuff that goes through my head while I am trying to fall asleep!
I think too much about what I have to do the next day … or the rest of the week. I’d love to be able to see how I’m actually sleeping at night!
I totally need this product, seeing as my teenage son has terrible sleep issues and we just scheduled a sleep study at the end of this month. This product would give us so much information.
Getting to bed at a decent hour is my biggest obstacle. Too much going on in my head!
I’ve always had a hard time making myself go to bed at night.. (afraid I’ll miss something??) and then getting up when normal people do is a killer. I’m an owl married to a rooster. But, I’m slowly getting convinced that I’m not getting quality sleep when I go to bed in the early hours even if I do sleep in. Maybe visual proof would help me toward more discipline in my sleep patterns.
Biggest obstacle would definitely be my kids. :)
Well, I don’t have a smart phone (I use my cell phone strictly for emergencies… and the occasional call for take-out from the car ;) ), so I wouldn’t be able to use it. But, the geek in my is seriously interested in trying it out! So, I may have to finally bit the bullet and step into the 21st century with my cell phone. Lately, I’ve been waking up around midnight, and I often wake before the 5 am alarm, but then hit the snooze far too many times. I wonder if the SmartWake would help wake to break the snooze button cycle!
My biggest obstacle to a good night’s sleep is probably that I sometimes have a hard time shutting my brain off, especially when I’m stressed. And then, lack of sleep only increases my stress, so it’s a vicious cycle… A lousy mattress doesn’t help, either…
Oh my! I love love love love love this! so cool. I definately think there is a rhythm to our life and try to get to bed around the same time everyday. I love this nifty gagdet. My obstacle;: Lately I have been having trouble falling asleep and sleeping soundly because of a side effect to my medicine. However, it will get better. I even meditate at night to help with this… but this is so cool to see the sleep patterms!
I would love to track my sleep… I have some nights of terrible sleep and would love to see how I can improve my sleep. This looks amazing.
oh gosh. definately my kids. otherwise i would have a solid 6, 7, or 8 hours of sleep.
My biggest obstacle is over thinking things before bed. My brain running at a million miles per hour when all I should be doing is sleeping! This looks like an AWESOME gadget!
Tweet! https://twitter.com/#!/lrob02/status/157261690076016640
my biggest obstacle is that second wind i get right around 9:30. i’m usually up until midnight. neat gadget!

My biggest obstacle to sleep is that I’m a .total. night owl. My second biggest obstacle is the fat cat who insists on spooning with me (and only me). I know I should close the door, but I just can’t be that mean :(
My biggest problem is Pain because i Have fibro myalgia and also Chronic Fatigue Syndrome but I would be curious to see how much I really sleep each night.
This is so cool! My biggest obstable to sleep is turning my mind off. I’m constantly thinking about all the things I have to do the next day, what clothes I need to get out for the kiddos, what lunches I have to pack, etc etc etc! One of these things would be soooo cool to see how well I actually do sleep!
I would love to win this. I think it would be a Great help in getting my sleep in order.
Blessings,
It’s for my husband! He’s a horrible sleeper!
My biggest obstacle is going to bed on time. I am a night owl, but have to do early mornings, which throws me off.
That sounds so fun! I love data to compare!
My biggest obstacle to getting a good nights sleep, is getting to sleep at a decent time. I start out with good intentions, and before I know it, it is midnight, and I should be getting up by 6:00…. and I have figured out I need more than 6 hours of sleep, I believe.
WOW. I’m the worst sleeper on earth, and this contraption looks like it could help me understand what’s going on during the night. VERY interesting! Thanks for the great giveaway!
that is weird and cool all at the same time
My tweet: https://twitter.com/#!/beckysensei/status/157264238170210304 I realize my chances of winning this are pretty slim, but I have to try!!! THANKS!!
My biggest challenge is having too much to do and too little time! I love the data features of this gadget–super cool!
I have had serious sleep problems for over 10 years now – kids, stress, sickness, etc.
I’ve seen this before. It looks very cool! I’d love to have my husband use it as he is super grumpy if he doesn’t get a solid night’s sleep.
I don’t usually have a problem going to sleep. My issue is that in the morning, my mind starts going and I can’t go back to sleep because I can’t stop thinking about what I have to do that day. I feel like I sleep really well for about 3 hours….I don’t have a clue what’s going on the rest of the time :). Would love to try this gadget out.
Never heard of this, but way cool! I could definitely use this!!!!
This sounds amazing. I’d love to have one of these.
My biggest challenge is falling asleep. I can’t seem to quit running over my work & home to-do list for the next day.
plus I get woken up at least twice a night by my 6 month old, so I get to run through them a few more times before I fall back asleep! lol
what a nifty device!
OH how I really want this for my husband who refuses to believe he has sleep apnea!
I’m usually a pretty good sleeper – my biggest obstacle is children! My daughter is nearly 3, so we’re doing pretty well with her, but I’ve got another one on the way and the big belly, combined with the movement, really affects my sleep!
As soon as I lay in bed all sorts craft ideas go through my head, so for me it’s just getting myself to tone down my thoughts and relax.
My biggest challenge is my son waking me up several times a night.
I tweeted. I don’t know how to put the url so I copied the tweet:

Also forgot to say what my biggest obstacle to sleeping is in my last post. That would be that I don’t go to sleep until 2AM or later and then when I do my husband is snoring so loud!
I would LOVE to be able to track my sleeping patterns. I am constantly tired and have random strange periods of waking. I hope that I win!
I just need to stop thinking!! I think too much and then I can’t sleep. I’ve found writing a to do list for the next day helps to calm my brain down.
I would love to win this. I could totally use it. My baby sleeps with me, so I think I wake up about 7 times a night. Sometimes I don’t know if I get any deep sleep at all. And I would love to try it out on my husband too, because he doesn’t sleep so good either (I am sure it has nothing to do with the baby in our bed :)
This is such a cool device. My biggest sleep challenge is staying asleep, I seem to wake up 3 to 4 times a night and have trouble getting back to sleep.
My biggest problems are getting myself to go to sleep at night (I love how quiet the house is when everyone has gone to bed) and little kiddies waking me up throughout the night. I love the wake feature on this since I have a hard time getting out of bed in the morning.
almost forgot to add my info
My biggest obstacle is my mind. So hard to shut everything off. Would love to have one of these!
My problem is that I don’t ever go to bed early enough. I find so much to do when the kids are down and I have some quiet time (Tori and Dean marathon anyone….).
My biggest obstacle is my husband snoring!!!
I SO think I could use this! I am exhausted all the time. My mom thinks I should go to a sleep clinich which creeps me out – this might give me some anwers! Thank you for trying this out and letting us all know.
I fall asleep fine. My biggest obstacle is staying asleep. I wake up and think about all of the things I have to do the next day. Also my husband’s snoring:)

It’s giving up the peace and quiet of a house full of sleeping children. Being able to do what I want without interruption. I love a quiet house!

Biggest obstacle: a queen sized bed for 2 people that each need a lot of space to sleep!
I would love to win one of these! My biggest obstacle to sleep…is my husband. He tosses & turns & kicks the mattress all night long!

My biggest sleep obstacle is actually falling asleep. It is one of the few times throughout the day I have time to sit and think about things. My mind often starts to work over time, making it difficult to fall asleep. It’d be interesting to see how long it typically takes me to fall asleep at night.
Well lately I haven’t been able to put down my sewing projects, come on it’s the only time I can craft without any interruptions.
Biggest challenge?? The fantasticly gripping books I read! I get sucked in to these alternate worlds and can’t put them down. Granted I’m also the woman who reads shampoo labels when I’m in the shower just for something to read, but I must give credit to the authors who have captured my mind since I began reading as a child. I know I should put the book down and close my eyes to get that much needed sleep but I’m like a kid who knows her parents are having a party without her and I need to know what will happen next! Maybe strapping the Zeo to my head will get me so excited to read the results in the morning that I’ll simply go to sleep earlier so there is more of a story to read. :)
SOOOO cool. I really like how you are always so detailed in your posts… hence why you’re so loved and followed!
I would love the Zeo to delve into why I am constantly waking up… well, besides having three kiddos ages 4 and under! (ha ha). I actually feel more rested after a few hours of sleep rather than 8 hours. Weird. Thanks for the opportunity!
