The Woombie Swaddler {You’re going to LOVE this GIVEAWAY!}

Oh my, oh my.
I have the coolest thing to show you. In fact, I had never seen anything like it (before I checked out this site) and am completely sold on the concept.
Maybe because it’s because I have a brand new baby. And I’m a swaddle momma. This baby is my 3rd baby…………and the 3rd one to be swaddled. It works well for my arm-flailing babies.
So check out this genius idea.
It’s called a Woombie. (found here)
It’s a one-piece zippered swaddler, that is soft and stretchy and creates a little happy womb-like space for little sleeping babies. They can still move and push their extremities out and work those muscles…….but the stretch of the fabric always brings them back in and cuddles them.
(See the contoured shape, giving them the appropriate space for some movement?)
So instead of wrestling your infant into the proper swaddle position so that they can’t free their arms, you just slip them into the Woombie, which allows them to stretch and move around……….but still stay cozy and cuddled in their little Woombie swaddler. Pretty perfect, right? No more awkward blankets that, once wrapped correctly, restrict almost all movement. (And no more worrying about getting the proper swaddle, so that the blanket doesn’t come unwrapped and slide over baby’s face.)
I just love seeing these sweet babies all cozy and secure.
And ahhhhh, ready for sweet slumber. (No flailing arms. Check.)
They even carry transition Woombie’s, to help you gradually wean your baby from the swaddled position. (Which can be tricky with your standard blanket swaddle. Trust me, I know.)
Here’s the Leggies Woombie, to allow for free leg movement. (Found here)
And then here’s the Convertible Leggies (found here), which allows for free leg movement……but also has snaps at the shoulders, to allow for arms to come in and out of the Woombie, depending on when they’re ready for their arms to be free. (Or even arms out for short naps but in for a long night’s rest. Whatever works best for your child.)
Quite the concept, right?
I’m totally impressed and want to get my hands on a Woombie or two.
One more item I have to share:
Check out this Woombie Donut, found here. It’s a portable and super soft mat (and folds in half and zips up), that can be used for so many things. I would love to place my baby on one of these instead of on a blanket on the hard floor. Seems much more cozy……and I love the secure contoured edge. (I can just see my little miss having a grand ‘ol time exercising those arms and legs on this soft mat, while watching the world around her. And I wouldn’t have to worry about her rolling off. Perfect.)

I wrote about it on my facebook. What a great invention!! I didn't learn to swaddle my first baby until she was 5 months old, and it would have made ALL the difference in the world if I had done so sooner.

I love the whole concept because I was horrible at swaddling my first child (i.e., the baby didn't even have to wiggle for the blanket to come undone) and I just found out I'm pregnant with my second.
