Cyber Monday Deal and FANTASTIC giveaway! ($300+ value)
I have some exciting news.
Silhouette will be offering another one of their craft cutters to one of you readers…….for free. And if you remember the last time I showed you what this little beauty could do, it includes a lot.
So, one of you are going to be very lucky.
And how perfect.
Just in time for the holidays.
.
**And a little secret up front?**
(Silhouette will be offering their biggest discount ever, right here on Make It and Love It on Cyber-Monday, Nov. 29th.
Just in case you’re not feeling lucky…..but are itching to have one, there’s a fabulous deal for you. The machine plus some goodies, will all be available for their lowest price ever at $199.00. Enter: ‘makeit‘ at checkout…….but offer only valid on Nov. 29th 4am-midnight EST.
See you here on the 29th!)
See you here on the 29th!)
So, what’s a Silhouette?
(Found here.)
It’s a sleek little machine that hooks up to your computer and cuts out/draws the shapes/letters that you tell it to. So all you need is your machine, your computer, and the cords to hook the two together. That’s it.
(But you can also use an SD card with your image info and use your Silhouette wherever you go…)
.
Nope, no shape cartridges.
.
Nope, no shape cartridges.
.
It comes with many adorable shape and cutout files for no charge at all. And then you can use all of the letter fonts from your own computer, to design your own cut outs. You can even create your own shapes and logos, just how you like them.
But if you want more, they have a little online image store, where you can buy all sorts of different shapes, letters, phrases, cutouts, etc……and then upload them instantly to your computer.
It seemed like there were thousands.
Here’s a sampling…
.
.
Each download is priced at $0.99 but the more you buy, the cheaper they become. They have a subscription going on right now where your downloads are as cheap as $0.14 a download. Love the savings! And I love all of the little promos they have (and the free weekly download). And they have designers that come out with new images each week.
(Oh, and you can also upload images from your other favorite companies out there.)
(Oh, and you can also upload images from your other favorite companies out there.)
Wondering what you can really do with this machine?
You can cut vinyl to match your home perfectly…..
Or make cut outs for your scrapbooking needs……
And even make paper cut-outs for all sorts of reasons….
And wow, make the cutest little cards without the hassle of cutting so many different little things with scissors.
And I’ve been making a few more projects with it lately.
Especially because Christmas is upon us and I was thinking of gift giving.
Oh, and a few other ideas.
But if you scroll down to the post below (or click here), you’ll see that I made these little zippered pouches, using iron-on vinyl…….which was cut using the Silhouette. I also used the Silhoutte to cut out a template so that I could use craft paint on that little green pouch. Worked great!
And they are the perfect little pouches for gifts.
The perfect size to stuff with jewelry, hand-made cards, gift cards, treats, etc.
And each is fully lined inside. Adding more color. Ooh, how I love me some color!
And in case you missed some of my past projects using the Silhouette, here are a few.
Using Iron-On vinyl for clothes. (Tutorial found here.)
Vinyl on the walls, ipod, computer, and growth chart. (Tutorials found here.)
And glass etching. (Tutorial found here.)
There really are so many uses for this little Silhouette.
And I have completely enjoyed having my little companion in my craft room.
And like I mentioned above, Silhouette will be offering their biggest discount ever, right here on Make It and Love It on Cyber-Monday, Nov. 29th.
The machine (plus some extras), will all be available for their lowest price ever at $199.00.
Enter: ‘makeit‘ at checkout…….but offer only valid on Nov. 29th 4am-midnight EST.

I would use it for just about everything! My first project would probably be some glass etching.
I would use it for vinyl wall art and making gift boxes. Thanks!
The question is: what WOULDN'T I use it for? I would love to have this! The first thing I would probably use it for wall art though.
Probably vinyl art (for walls and windows) and making fun iron-on transfers for clothes. But my first project would probably be a scrapbook! Our little one is turning 1 soon and I know both his grandmothers would love having a scrapbook of his first year.

I would use it to jazz up boring store bought gift bags and wrapping paper. Adding a personal little touch of my own to the gifts that I love to give. And of course a temperary tatoo! :)
Wall decor! Wall decor! and then everything else….
I'd definitely use it for scrapbooking and glass etching for my husband's homemade pickled jalapenos!
Ohh, wall art, organization, and bears, oh my!

I would use the vinyl cutouts to finish off a forward facing bookshelf that I've been meaning to spruce up.
