I love sewing and making things. I especially love being surprised when something works out better than imagined.  I love turning cast-offs into something useful.  And I really do love blogging.  It’s the perfect outlet.
Even more than those things though, I love our crazy crew of a family.  Even the weird schedules, tantrums at breakfast, scary dreams at 3am, and streaking after bath-time.  All of it.
I know this blog is a crafting one.   But sometimes, I sprinkle in a little bit about my family.  I just can’t help it.
So here’s the question:  Do you come over here to Make It and Love It for tutorials only and quickly click out of here when you see another family vacation picture or a random picture of my child doing somersaults off my couch (I should show you that one)?  Or do you like seeing a little life behind the scenes?
(I’m afraid I’ll continue with the family pics either way, but I’m just curious if you guys like to keep your blog themes separate.  Ha.)
Maybe I figure you must want to see a picture or two because sometimes I forget it’s not just a few of my closest friends and family looking in on what I’m sewing up today.  But come on, I see some of your names so often, I forget that you’re not going to knock on the door at any minute to share a smoothie with me…..(because that’s what I’m drinking right now. Yum.)  All of the Emily’s, Sarah’s, Brittany’s, Stephanie’s, etc………I see you ‘ol faithfuls chiming in with the sweetest of comments.  Okay, and the catchy little sign-in names like Goings on at the Glenns and Bethandodd and MeSewCrazy or SewCrazy or something with Sew in it, haha!   But I could just squeeze you all.
So maybe since I see you around here often, I figure you can all tolerate another picture of the kids.  I somehow can’t resist adding it to a post from time to time.
In case you hate it though, now’s the time to hurry and click away.
Hurry.
Faster.
Haha.
Because, we went to the zoo last week……….and let me tell you how much I love watching little ones at the zoo.  It’s intriguing.  Their faces fascinate me.  And their questions…….oh, their questions.  “No buddy, I don’t know why the gorilla has a pig puffy white bum.  No, it’s not a diaper.  Nope, you can’t touch it.  Er……..let’s go read the sign.”

If by looking at this picture you think he’s deep in thought……you’re wrong.  I just told him to not pick any more flowers.  So he’s staring at those flowers, deciding whether or not to listen.  Hard choice, huh?

For a second, this little guy was out of my view behind the stroller.  He wasn’t making one bit of sound…….so I looked closer.  The little turkey was sneaking the zoo snacks.  He wouldn’t even look at me, afraid I might tell him to put them away. Ha.
Oh, the goats.  Reminds me of our family raising goats.  And feeding them with bottles.

Have you ever fed a giraffe?  I hadn’t either.  This was by far our most favorite part about the zoo.  Now hurry and find out if your zoo lets you feed the giraffes.  $2 was well worth it.
The giggling, the waving of the leaves by little hands to beckon the giraffe over, the astonishment of their little eyes while watching such a big animal use the potty right in the dirt.  They shrieked.
((Sigh))  It’s been too long since we’ve paid a visit to the zoo.
So glad we went.
And maybe looking at the pictures helped you get your zoo fix too.
Enjoy your day.  (And drink a smoothie with me!)
. . . . .
Tomorrow will be back to the norm (which is still just as fun for me to blog about) so the others don’t have to click away! Ha.
