Craft Stash Giveaway Winners!

.
Wow, thanks for all the love.  And all of the chat.  And playing along like you were sitting right here with me.  You all made me smile.  Okay and laugh.  Many, many, times.  We need to do this more often.  I seriously loved reading all about you for a change.
Ha…….I don’t know why I got such a kick out of that.  But the stories, the recipes, your Christmas wishes, your crazy husbands, your messy houses……..all of it was so fun.  So thanks.
And at one point while reading comments, my little 2 year old buddy asked to sit on my lap.  I plopped him right up here with me in my lap as he cozied up and watched as I read comments.  He asked who each person was, each time he saw the little mini picture next to a name.  I told him Lori, or Samantha, or Anne…..whatever your user names were.
(He especially liked the silly names like Monkey Mom or Cookie Cookie.)
But it was like you were all people that I really knew.  See?  I can pretend you’re right here with me.  Ha!
Okay, onto the winners of the craft stash.  I’m so glad you’re all happy to take on a new item and put it to good use……the response surprised me.  Wow.
**And I couldn’t help but respond to each of the winner’s comments.  It was too fun not to.

G’day from sunny Australia! Although it’s summer here now, I am lusting after one of your GORGEOUS scarves for fall! I’d be thrilled with either colour if I was lucky enough to win! And I’d promise to send you a photo of me and my scarf standing next to a kangaroo or an emu if I won! Ha, how’s that for a little Aussie ingenuity! Fun thing about me – I secretly craft while I’m supposed to be napping! I have a two month old baby girl and busy toddler, and although I complain to my husband about how tired I am, I still find time to make some of the fab things from your tutorials while the kids nap (and when I should also catch up on some rest!!!). Latest project was a zippered purse in pink and brown. Love your site!

**I’m seriously going to hold you to that…..you better get yourself to the nearest friendly kangaroo!!   Now, I have to ask the post office how tricky it is to ship to Australia.  Ha!  And enjoy that nice warm weather!

I LOVE EVERYTHING :) I think my favs are the scarves and the zippered pouch because let’s face it…even though there is a tutorial, I’m not a great seamstress and probably couldn’t ever sew a zipper…… Couch talk? Totally random and my only claim to fame…my first baby was 12lbs 8oz. I did not have gestational diabetes (everyone always asks when they find out so I thought I would just throw that out there…), and I DID NOT have a C-section. And more than anything I hate the comment “That’s not a baby, that’s a linebacker!”

December 17, 2010 1:53 PM

**Haha……my little boy was 10 pounds at birth and all the nurses crowded around to see the “huge” baby.  They never even put the newborn sized diapers on him, they skipped right to size 1.  I was always like, “let me enjoy my newborn, don’t take that away from me!”  I would have hated the linebacker comment too…..hmphhfff!!

I love your blog! You are so talented and crafty : ) I really like the gift card holders that you made. My sisters are having some financial difficulty this year and I am planning on getting them each a giftcard to Walmart…these would be awesome to add to their present. I am a mother of 2 little girls…2.5 yrs and 8 months. My 2 yr old is recently potty trained and I am sooo proud of her : ) Thanks for the giveaway.

**Perfect way to use those cozies.  And I wish your sisters the best through their struggles…….it’s a hard time for many.  Hope things turn around quickly for them.

Well, since you have over 700 other comments, I wasn’t going to leave one more; but what the heck. I’m a SAHM of three kids with ZERO patience for sewing and when I saw yor sling purse made from your sweater, I wanted to cry. (So did my bazillion sweaters when I pulled them out of my storage box!) I can sew, but I just really don’t like to. I’m a paper crafter at heart. I read your blog daily looking for inspiration and the confidence to try some of your projects…maybe someday! Thanks for sharing your creativity!

I really love the cute zippered pouches!! One of those would come in very handy!! My favorite candy is Hot Tamales followed by Tootsie Rolls. I wish that I could live on these two items, but alas, a body needs more than candy to survive!! Thanks for the giveaway and have a great Holiday!! Cheers, Karen

**Are you kidding? You can come eat hot tamales with me anytime.  Have you ever had Cinnamon Bears dipped in Chocolate?  Mmmmm…..

What a generous giveaway! I would love one of the little zipper pouches or the gift card cozies. And my fun part: I am looking forward to making snowman door decorations tonight with my family. Our Girl Scout troop is delivering them to the Ronald McDonald house, 50 of them for every resident door!

December 17, 2010 8:36 AM
**Good for you and all of that hard work with the girl scouts.  Love it!

I can’t make my mind up on any of these. I honestly would love any of them. These are the things that I would make had I any imagination at all :) Fun stuff….I’m an elementary school secretary in a small rural area and we had our “Holiday” store this week for the kiddos to do their Christmas shopping for their families. Every item is donated to the school from the community and we charge just a dollar for every item, no matter what it is (we even had complete china tea sets!). We use the money raised to do special programs for the students such as bringing in theater troops or going on field trips. It was another huge success and the students were thrilled to be able to choose and purchase their own gifts to give to mom and dad….it makes my heart smile to know that I have such a great community :)

OH, I just love the Little Guy Tie Pattern. I love it all! I have a Little Guy who is 18 months and so very queezable!- Add a tie and, look out! :) So, my hubby lost his job 6 1/2 months ago. I know. It sounds really gloomy- give me a minute. I will pick the mood back up. We lost the job, the home… the whole bit. Our 4 person family is in a 400 square foot, 1 bedroom apartment. For a while, I sat waiting for life to resume. The days just kept coming and I realizes that I had to keep living life- being me. Your site helps me do that. I can still have a hobby when I and a project and something that is mine- my expression even when we don’t have a home. Thank you. :) Really.

HI! I’d love one of the patterns. What to tell you? Honestly, I’m having trouble getting pregnant for the 2nd time. I’m trying to stay positive and hopeful but it’s getting hard since almost every single one of my friends have announced their own pregnancies or given birth recently. Anyway, I’m trying to keep busy to keep my mind off of it so a new pattern would do me some good (and enable me to give all my pregnant friends fun gifts for their new babies instead of just sitting around being jealous of them). So there you go.

**You know, there are a few things happening in our life right now which I have no control over, and just weren’t in the “plans”.  It’s so frustrating.  And makes me downright flustered.  So any sort of distraction for a few moments is always welcome.  So best of luck Amy and happy sewing!

You purge and we benefit. Sounds fantastic! I love that Darla purse and those patterns for little boys, the Bradley booties and little guy tie patterns. So cute! Hmm, now what to share? My first born son has Down syndrome and I think he is absolutely perfect! He has made my life so much better, richer and honest. Our family is so lucky to have him.

December 17, 2010 9:22 PM

**I have to say that I peeked over on your blog to check out your boys…….and I could barely handle not squeezing on them.  Oh my, they are both such handsome little guys.  And if I had more time, I throw some matching ties in the mail for them.  How sweet would they look?  So maybe you can create some yourself?  It’s up to you…

I would love a zippered pouch or one of the patterns! Finding shoes that fit my baby girl is ridiculously hard! Today, my hair is in curlers, all day, even when I go to the eye doctor (eek!) because I have a fancy party to go to tonight and want curly hair dang it!

December 17, 2010 4:21 PM

**You wear those curlers with pride, little miss!  Even to the doctor!  Hope you had fun…

I would love to have the grey scarf or zipper pouch or patterns.

Something fun? well this isn’t fun but maybe neat. I found your blog looking for a free crochet pattern. Started going post to post amazed that people sew up clothes for themselves and their children. And they look great and modern! so because of you I was inspired to learn to sew. I taught myself to sew using your tutorials. That also opened me up to the world of sewing blogs. Now here I am! The first sewing pattern I bought ever was your Bradley booties and little guy tie! yup! I am your student….
