Yep, you read that title right, FALL decor. I know, I know….it’s barely August. But you know, we’ve had a few cloudy days here in Oklahoma this week, so that’s like practically fall, right?!?! ;)
The Michaels Makers challenge this month was all about Fall Decor, and you know, getting a head start on Fall is kinda nice. Because, let’s be real….I’ve been a little off my game this summer. I hate to blame an infant….but Max has rocked my routine a bit! (More about that tomorrow….because I have another post all ready to share!)
I do love decorating for the season though. And since Fall is so easy to love, it was fun gathering up things to spread across our mantle.
The mirror was something that I already had up there…..but the rest is all from Michaels. And I kinda love how easy it all went together.
I grab this bundle of leaves, thinking they were artificial….but those leaves are real! They’re not super brittle. I was actually very impressed! But we won’t get changing leaves here in Oklahoma for a really long time….so I loved that I found these!
I also really love this chalkboard stand….that I have plans to use for other holidays and occasions too.
And not only did they have dried leaves….but all sorts of dried and colorful stems. They worked perfectly for my Fall Decor, to brighten things up a bit!
This simple sign was something I bought to hang outside or on an indoor wall….I couldn’t decide. But then I decided to set it up on the mantle to see how it looked, and I loved how it gave my mantle some height variety.
But I couldn’t just stop with the mantle. I also put a little more color over on the old dresser that sits in the corner of our living room.
Yep, more dried stems in that cute wood/metal bucket!
So much good Fall Decor popping up at Michaels right now!
And even though it’s not going to really feel like “Fall” around this state of Oklahoma for a looooong time, it’s still fun to get started on it. School will be starting in a couple weeks….and then I’ll be thinking of Halloween, so that’s got me all excited too! :)
And like I mentioned above, I’ll be back tomorrow, with a fun little baby tutorial!
