Giveaway Winners (plus a little book-writing update…)

If you’re looking for the 2 DSLR Canon Camera giveaway (1 for you, 1 for your friend)……..it’s still going on.  Until Tuesday (Jan 21st), to be exact!  So go on, ENTER!!!

. . . . .

I don’t know where my head is….but I completely spaced selecting and announcing the 3 WINNERS for the Quiet Book Patterns GIVEAWAY!  Ack!

Oh wait, I’ll tell you where my head is.  I’m up to my eyeballs in book editing.  Remember that book I’ve been working on??  Agggh…….book writing is quite a process.  I had no idea, truly.  Let’s just say I’m glad I was completely oblivious to what it really takes to write a book.  Because, holy smokes, I had no clue.  But at the same time…..wow, it’s been pretty darn amazing to see things come to life.  I can hardly wait to share more!

Elli just asked the other day……”are you done with your book yeeeeet?!?!”  Nope, not yet. (I do most of the editing while she’s at school, early morning, and late at night……so I’m not sure what she’s complaining about.  ha!)

Here’s where I’m at, book wise………I’ve had to go through and edit the book twice now, rewrite a few things, take more pictures, rearrange, etc.  And the latest craziness has been shooting the picture for the book cover.  I don’t know why, but this has made me more nervous than any other part of the book.  I asked my editor/designer if they were sure they wanted to hire me to shoot my own book cover…….because there are plenty of other photographers much more capable.  What if it’s a total bust?  But aggggh, I agreed.

And this is what I’ve been doing for the past 3 days.  (Yeah, real photographers would have been done within a few hours…….but not me!  I like to take hundreds and hundreds before getting something acceptable!)

Except, minus the grey smudged out area…..

I wish I could……but I can’t quite share yet.

And I think we’ve almost got it.  I email samples to the book designer and she gives me ideas and tells me background options, etc.  It’s been a great learning process.

Anyway, I swear my head isn’t too far off and I’m about to be back to normal again.  I’m almost ALMOST done with with my part of the book.  Then it’s all up to the designers and then off to be printed.  I can’t even believe it!

. . . . .

Okay whoops.  See?  Still in crazy zone……….I almost forgot to announce you lucky winners.  Let’s jump on that, before I stand up to start making dinner or something….!

3 of you are about to receive a little delivery in the mail. :)
