A few things (and recipes)……before Thanksgiving arrives!

First of all, thank you all SO MUCH for your feedback/interest in possibly contributing to Make It and Love It.  There were SO many of you who filled out the form……so, there’s lots of reading for me to do.  But I kinda LOVE it!  However, it would be impossible (unless I took a vacation just for this) to respond to each of you individually……so please know, they’re rolling in.  And thank you!  But I probably won’t be contacting anyone for several weeks, until the Bloggers Wanted forms are due (Dec 15th).

. . . . .

Thanksgiving is in, oh, 2 days…….and I had one more thing to share.  But it may just have to turn into a Christmas Dinner decoration.  Ah well.  I’ll share it one of these days. :)  (Along with some fun Christmas gift ideas!!!!!)

Until then, I almost forgot about my Burlap Table Runner that I made from last year, that I need to pull out……PRONTO!!

Remember, the leaves already came printed on the burlap……and was a super quick project to make.  There’s still time to make one if you’d like one too! :)

And then, once the runner is in place……..the table can be set and each of the Name Ribbons can be wrapped around each plate setting.

Then, it’s time to start making, baking, and stuffing the bird.

We’re trying a few new recipes this year (which is risky when company is coming, right?!?!) but I decided that if none of us like a particular dish…..there will be like 17 other sides to choose from! :)  No biggie.

Here are some recipes that we’re still trying to narrow down:

Sausage Cranberry Stuffing

1

Hasselback Sweet Potatoes

2

Sweet Potato Casserole

3

Sweet Corn Spoonbread

4

Artichoke Parmesan Sourdough Stuffing

Salted Caramel Apple Pie

6

Creamy and Smoked Baked Mashed Potatoes

7

8

Baked Cheesy and Spicy Potatoes

11

Mmmmmmmmm……….I’m so ready for food, family, and some holiday cheer!

I hope many of you are doing the same! :)

Have you ever tried Rhoda’s sweet potato soufflé over on her blog Southern Hospitality Blog? It’s so good. I’ve never like these sweetened sweet potato dishes until hers!

okay so this is completely unrelated to this specific post but i was looking through your instagram and couldnt help but love all the new things you’ve been adding to your new house-
so how about a virtual house tour ( you know just pics of all the refurbished rooms), once its all done, i would love to see it, your DIY, and sense of house decorating is absolutely fab :)
