We interrupt these rainstorms…….

…………for some puddle jumpin’ fun.
We’ve had rain all week. And I have to say, I’m happy with it. It makes me feel cozy. And since we’ve been staying home with a new baby………it’s made it completely enjoyable.
(And good thing we’re renting and this backyard draining problem isn’t really ours to worry about. We love it when it floods.)
Can you tell he’s plotting his next puddle jump?
(Have I ever mentioned how much I love a thunderstorm? I do. A lot. I guess that comes from growing up in southern Arizona, where we had killer monsoon storms. Ahhhh, I miss those.)
So today’s agenda? Scrap everything else, and keep splashing in those puddles…
Back to our regular scheduled programming tomorrow.

It's true, rainy days are special. We love a good thunderstorm too :) It has to really rain though, a constant drizzle just gets annoying!

I grew up in Sierra Vista, near Ft. Huachuca. It has changed so much since I left there after high school in 1999……but S.V. is my home. So many memories! :)
I love the energy and carefreeness of kids!! Puddle jumping is so fun…thanks for sharing! Nothing like seeing the bright side of any rain storm!
Awesome idea. I wish our yard wasn't still 4 feet deep in snow so we could splash in puddles too! It is extra tragic when everyone else gets spring so early :(
This looks like so much fun! We had a puddle called Lake Superior, and we would roll up our pants and splash around in it all the time!
And you're right, there is NOTHING like SV monsoons! At all. No matter how much rain we get in New England I'll always miss our big thunderstorms and the smell of desert rain.
I took my kids out the other day and told them that "YES" they could go puddle jumping! They were so excited and had so much fun!
I'm a native of Arizona. Still here after all these years a LOVIN' the monsoon season that will eventually come. Waiting anxiously for it!

That looks like so much fun!! I absolutely love the rain so much – and especially since I got married! My sweet hubby always takes me out in the middle of the rain and dances with me (and then I get a sweet kiss!) We come back in drenched, but it is so worth it!

LOVE IT!! I used to go puddle stomping in college to reduce stress. There is something so inherently fun and relieving in just being a kid for a few minutes! Keep up the splashy work!

I grew up in southwestern New Mexico, and I also LOVE thunder storms! Ah… so invigorating! I wonder if our reasons are tied to our stomping grounds? Hm…

Oh I love Arizona thunderstorms! they are SO much fun! I also love rain and storms, it makes me want to curl up and watch a movie :)
