A Little Vacation…

My siblings and I live all over the country.
From Alaska to Georgia, and sprinkled in between…..seriously, all over the country.
And for the last few days, two of my sweet sisters (and a niece) have been here, hanging out with us here in warm Georgia. And rubbing my baby belly for good luck. (Okay, and doing my dishes and playing with my busy kids……ahhhh! Thanks April and Jodi!)
So I haven’t been around here much. (Or keeping my sewing machine busy.) We’ve been busy staying up until 3am, munching on delicious snacks, laughing ourselves silly remembering our little girl days, and catching up on each other’s lives and children. It has been a great mini sisters weekend…..maybe next time the other 2, plus our melts-right-into-the-mix-sister-in-law, can make it. (Shall we start planning now sisters?)
And because they came this far east, we had to take in a little of the Atlantic ocean yesterday.
And who needs a tripod or photographer when you can take pictures like this? All nice and out of focus or someone out of the frame. No biggee…

And the kids completely enjoyed squishing their toes in the wet sand.
Oh, and playing around. Because the weather was absolutely perfect.

And full out belly laughs?
Plenty of those were heard while relaxing on the swing.

Well, off to have a few more adventures while they’re here.

Love the pictures….love to see the sand and ocean. Here in Cincinnati all we're seeing is snow and some ice this morning. Beautiful kids too. Glad you've had a great time with your sisters.
What kind of camera do you have? Your photos are always so vibrant and clear.

Ok, how do you get pictures of running and laughing children?! I have a fancy pants camera and all I get is blurry faces! I've tried (obviously not) everything! What's the trick?!

I live in Alaska as well. What part of Alaska are they from? I am sure they loved the weather. It's kinda miserable here.
Where in AK are they? We are stationed at wainwright and line in North Pole. :)

Hey Ashley, I am jealous of to sand and beach. I can't believe how big your kids are, especially Conner, he is such a little man now. Your sister's daughter looks just like her, too cute.

I think it's great that you are taking a break and able to spend some time with your family! Especially with the babe due soon…are we going to get to see that pretty lil round belly of yours? You were adorable prego with the lil man (btw he is getting big!). Best wishes!

My brother is also in Alaska, where we are from, I'm in Oklahoma, and my sis is in Florida. We only ever get together for weddings – and well, we are all married now!

Funny story: A friend of mine sent me a link to your blog in November and so I've been visiting your blog for ideas for a few months. Love it! I just realized when I saw these photos that I think we are in the same ward at church and I had no idea.
